I don’t drink coffee but my friends really like the brown butter shaken espresso
I went there to study and I purchased a butter pecan brownie and a coffee. I studied upstairs and the environment was cool. Typical coffee shop with a flair per say. However, that restroom toilet had an awful ring and had me questioning when was the last time it was cleaned. Aside from that, it's a chill spot to study.

Paid for a large and got a small. Drip coffee had grounds in it... disappointed.
Congregation Coffee is a very popular spot! I walked in surprised that the whole cafe was full and bustling with energy. Thank goodness I’ve got AirPods with noise cancelling and voice isolation, or else I don’t think I would have been able to take a call or work in here. This place is great for meeting with friends, colleagues or just to enjoy a drink looking over the floor from upstairs. They have metal spiral staircase for a more homey feel. Overall the staff is very friendly. I ordered the sage lavender tea and had hoped for a teapot with the loose leaf tea so that I could steep the pricey tea for $5 several times though. Free WiFi and located in a beautiful building and plaza.

Good coffee but the girl with the brown short hair was super unapproachable. After working in food service for years, I totally get being tired etc at customers but her attitude seemed like she hated being there.

Found this coffee shop on the whim and I’m so glad I have it a try! It’s so good. Their coffee beans are such great quality. Best coffee I’ve had since living in the Southaven area.

Happened upon this place and was met with the nicest barista or manager ever! I didn't get her name but I think it's McKenzie. Super sweet and made me a coffee that I will be dreaming of when I go back to my side of the city lol! Check them out if you like great iced coffee served with a bright smile to start your day.

Stopped by Congregation Coffee in Memphis and was genuinely impressed! The location is convenient, and the shop looks beautiful inside and out—clean lines, warm interiors, and a calm, welcoming vibe.
As a first-timer, I asked for a recommendation and was pointed toward the spicy chai latte—and it did not disappoint. Perfectly balanced with just the right kick, it’s definitely something I’d go back for.
They also have outdoor seating, which is a nice touch for cooler mornings, and even a conference room and private area you can reserve—perfect if you want to work or host a small meet-up.
Overall, great drinks, thoughtful service, and a cozy atmosphere. Definitely adding this to my Memphis coffee rotation! 🙌

Our favorite coffee place in the greater Memphis/Germantown area for the combination of great space/ambiance and quality of coffee (great beans from 8th & Roast in Nashville). Nice seating options with bright, clean-lines, airy feel. Try to stop in here for some good conversation time when we're in the area. Lattes go for ~$7-8 here as of this review.

The atmosphere here is nice—inviting, cozy, and a nice place to hang out or get some work done. The food is always okay, nothing to rave about, but solid.
My biggest issue is the coffee. I genuinely love the taste of coffee and don’t usually go for overly sweet drinks. But every time I’ve ordered here—at least four separate visits—the coffee has been consistently bitter or overly acidic. I’ve even tried flavored lattes, but the flavor never comes through because the base is so off. I’ve started asking for extra syrup just to balance it out, and I still end up adding sugar just to make it drinkable, which is really not my norm.
As a former barista, I suspect they’re not dialing in their espresso properly, or maybe it’s just the beans they use—but either way, it consistently misses the mark.
It’s a great place for the vibe, but if you’re coming for good coffee, this probably isn’t it. Others may feel differently, but for me, it just doesn’t deliver.
