Nothing fancy for sure, but you can count on a good meal, friendly staff and fair prices. We like it for both lunch and dinner. Chicken soup is excellent. Nice quiet atmosphere to relax, chat and enjoy down to earth food.

It's a good restaurant. Kind of expensive. Salsa is a little more spicy than other places

They were able and willing to accommodate my multiple dietary needs and the food tasted delicious.

This has been our go-to Mexican restaurant for years. We like the food and it's family friendly. However, they have changed a few things under the new ownership, one being the delicious enchilada sauce. The new red sauce is terrible; the green one worse. We will not be going back. So sad.

I've been going here for a couple years now and although service can be slow at times the food is pretty good and usually consistent. Their Guacamole Mexicano is really good and the sweet tea is good. The chicken enchiladas are some of the best in town. I'll keep going and watch for the changes mentioned by other reviewers.

We have been coming to El Chapultepec (use to be Chapultepec next to Malco at Forrest hill) for over 20 years - this is the first time that I can say the food was not good! We come for the fajitas - they use to have the greatest char and seasoning - this time they were bland. Looks like they have new ownership and they have put in new booths and tables - but I would rather have the old booths and the old fajita recipe. Time for me to start looking for a new Mexican restaurant- I am really so sad.

Great food, great service and great band on Friday!
Gave it another try and dinner was better than lunch. I ordered for take out. When I got home and opened the containers, there was a bountiful amount of food. I order for one, but 2-3 people could have eaten and be pleasantly satisfied. The quality was much better as well.

Decent enough food but very poor service and attention to guest.

Saw some good reviews mixed in with the bad so decided to give them a try. Service was fast, at first. Got our waters and cheese dip then our waitress didn't come by for another twenty minutes. About 10 minutes into our wait we decided to fill up on chips and get some queso to go. Waitress still took about 5 minutes to get us the dip to go, really wish we could have ordered but our waitress literally never walked over to our table even when we wanted to wave her down. 40 minutes and all we got was chips and dip. Find another place or go to the urban fusion Restaurant with better reviews literally right next to them.

If you like terrible food, to argue and be confronted by waitstaff, then this is your place.
