My go to bbq when I visit Memphis. The food, the staff and the atmosphere are great! Banana pudding 🤤

The service and atmosphere is great. Food was disappointing…I had the regular pulled pork sandwich with fries and beans. It’s adequate but not the best bbq in Memphis. The deviled eggs tasted old. They are usually really good though!

I ordered a caramel cake online. I was told that this place has one of the best caramel cakes in Memphis. I had my 3lb puppy with me and remembered I had forgotten to get the cake I had ordered. I could not leave him in the car. So I took him in. I had already decided that if the pick-up was far back in the establishment that I would have to return to get the cake. As soon as I walked into the door, I wasn’t greeted or asked my reasoning for being there. I guess, the manager, said in an area full of people that, the dog can’t be in here.” I said, “Ok, I just need to pick-up a cake.” He said, “oh ok, and asked me the name on the order.” I am not sure what they have experienced there, but who in their right mind brings an animal to a sit-in restaurant to eat that is not pet friendly. It would have been great customer service to first speak and acknowledge me as a guest and then ask my purpose for being there instead of assuming I was coming in to eat with my puppy. That is so unsanitary! 🙄🥴 After being corrected for his mistake, an apology was not offered. The food here is lackluster, there are better BBQ places in Memphis. The customer service I received was trash. Needless to say the caramel cake was good, but not enough for me to return to patronize the business.

When I sat down and took my first sip of sweet tea, I text my husband and said. “If the good is as good as the tea, I picked a good spot for lunch.” I will say the food was just as good if not even better than the tea AND the Lemon Ice Box pie is to die for! Would definitely recommend this spot. My server Cynthia was also very attentive and helpful.

Good bbq, great service abd great atmosphere. I guess I've ruined myself and family by small batch shoulders and brisket at the house. Nothing tastes as good. This is good but I've had way better...out of my own smoker.

This is still good food with great folks.

Amazing Food! Last time I was at the Germantown commissary carried the food to church. Somebody stole it and ate it.

The food and service were great! We also enjoyed the atmosphere! My husband and I shared a piece of coconut cream pie. It was wonderful! We are already making plans to
go back!

I enjoyed a wonderful table service lunch this morning. Staff were friendly, professional, and prompt. The atmosphere was classic - a perfect Tennessee diner.
I had the regular BBQ sandwich plate. A delicious sandwich with perfect flavor. I of course add the coleslaw to the sandwich.
Today’s lunch was the best BBQ in quite a while.
I will be back!!!!

Seriously the best BBQ I have ever had. And the lemon box pie was spectacular!! I even got to give my compliments to the pie chef who said she makes them every morning.

The manager was absolutely rude! He needs to attend a customer service course

Horrible manager!!! Party of 6 and he complained about putting 2 tables together!!! We will never go back.

I ate here for Father’s Day, 6.15.25, and had the burnt end bologna plate. I was the only person in my party that had something different. I ended up getting food poisoning from this. I called to report it to the collierville location this morning, to the manager Stephanie, and was met with “oh great now the health department will be out here, thanks”. No apology. No asking if I’m okay. No asking what I ate. I told Stephanie it was very disappointing that I was met with anger by reporting getting sick from their restaurant. I told her I wanted nothing other than to notify them, and because of her horrible response, my family will no longer recommend or frequent this restaurant.

Ordered brisket it was dry tough and rubbery absolutely horrible.

Ordered ribs again dry and the back membrane was not removed. Pitiful.

Ordered pulled pork 12 pack. Buns were very stale. Again dry and not very flavorful.

Ordered banana pudding. It was okay but not great.

Beans were good.

Potato salad was good.

Been using the Germantown commissary for many many years and recently their food has gone to crap

I won’t go back after spending $250 for mostly horrible food.
