Moondance Grill

First visit to this restaurant. I arrived around 4pm and was seated immediately. I had been told their lobster rolls were excellent, but since TN is a land locked state, they only have it frozen. I decided on their cheeseburger. I have 4 stars since it's center was more red than pink, cooked medium when I requested it prepared medium well to well done. I still ate it as is and enjoyed it. Fries were perfect. I will try going again sometime in the future.
Note: 1. My waitress was a trainee working with the regular waiter. Both were great. 2. I have been to many restaurants that have problems preparing burgers and steaks medium well, so was not very upset. I did NOT mention it to the waiter.

I’ve had many dining experiences at Moondance Grill. But last night was my favorite! Not because of the service or my entree… BUT because of my dessert, the key-lime pie. Please tell me this is made in-house! The texture, flavor, presentation… PERFECT! No pics because I demolished it!

The service was amazing, I want to add that it was my birthday dinner and I brought my toddler with me. My toddler indeed toddler-ed the entire time. The servers were great. We had Olivia and her trainer. My toddler spilled lemonade and they were very accommodating and helpful. This is a huge plus considering this is not exactly an environment catering to kids meaning there is no kids menu and more on the upscale side of restaurants.

The environment was very nice, great ambiance, noise level was not to loud, and had a very nice mix of people.

The food and drinks were great. I had Samburg oysters which was great, BBQ shrimp which was good but the shrimp was overcooked, and lamb chops which were perfection! The sauce on them were so good, I wish there was some on the mashed potatoes. As much as I would like to joke about the lonely 4 pieces of asparagus, I was so full by then that it was enough. The lemon drop comes in so many flavors it is hard to choose. It would be a great idea to offer a lemon drop flight and be sure to let me know when you d lol. I enjoyed my night,

I took my wife here for her birthday and it was a nice evening. Hannah was our server and she did a great job. The salmon, green beans and potato casserole were good. The food was good and the atmosphere is really nice and the piano music and the singing was great.

We chose Moondance Grill to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday, and it was the perfect choice. From the moment we arrived, we were seated immediately and made to feel welcome. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and gave excellent recommendations—every suggestion was spot on.
The restaurant is located in beautiful Germantown, and the vibe was relaxed, classy, and perfect for a special occasion. Every dish at our table was a hit. We ordered the salmon, lamb, steak, and Cajun pasta, and everyone loved their meal. For appetizers, we had the spinach dip with chips and the steak bites—both were absolutely delicious.
Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. Moondance Grill made my daughter’s birthday celebration memorable, and we’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. The servers are very nice, the restaurant is very chill, and the food was so good that I had to come here and leave a review! The food portions are very filling. I had some delicious herbal tea, the salmon dip, and the moon dance burger. Everything was hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. Good job everyone!

I come often but my last few times at the bar has been very unpleasant. They have been dismissive and look over me . I waited an hour for a drink and my food to come out ! She apologized for forgetting my drink but even then time before this I waited a long time before anyone greeted me or brought water ! I don’t think I’ll be back but the food is great

My parents signed a contract and prepaid for a semi-private dinner, with reservations scheduled for 7:00 PM. Unfortunately, our table was not ready until 7:15 PM because other parties were still seated in the private/semi-private area. Given that this was a prepaid, contracted reservation, this delay should not have occurred.

That said, the manager handled the situation professionally and made amends by offering two bottles of champagne, which we genuinely appreciated. The service recovery was thoughtful and helped smooth over an otherwise frustrating start.

I also want to give special recognition to our server, Tanner, who was absolutely phenomenal. His attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine care completely changed the trajectory of our night. He ensured we felt welcomed, relaxed, and well taken care of from that point forward.

This was not my first time dining here, and I’ve always enjoyed my experiences—which is why I spoke so highly of the restaurant to my family. However, this was their first visit, and the initial delay unfortunately took away from the expectations I had set based on my prior experiences.

Overall, I was pleased with how the situation was addressed, but when guests have prepaid and signed a contract, timing and space availability should be guaranteed. I hope this feedback helps improve future private and semi-private dining experiences.
