Great food

I go here a lot and every time I get different proportions. I feel like I have to beg to get more than a scoop of rice and beans for the bowl I always get. Both the managers there are rude every time I’m there. I’ve built up a bunch of points and they’ve never once let me use them. It’s no wonder they’re probably going out of business soon. I come here at least once a week for two years and now I’m done. Guess I’ll start going somewhere else.

Update: this must be the manager, I’m glad your failure is entertaining to you. Half a scoop of rice and half a scoop of beans is your proportions? Thank you for your response. I’ll definitely never return and refer people to never visit. I’ll also be leaving a bad review on every platform I can find you on for being persistently rude.

Every time I go in to the restaurant I pray that the bald white guy manager doesn’t serve my food because he will give you half of the food that you payed for. The to go bowl will have as little food as he can give you. When you ask him to give you more he will get angry and walk off. It’s not a cheap place to get food to go but he will give you such a little amount of food that you think he has a personal problem with you. I’m disappointed in the restaurant as of late and it’s an obvious management issue.

The cheese is addictive !! The customer service is also amazing and the food in general is very seasoned and fresh. Never dissatisfied with this location

Been loyal to swankys for years, and the food and service has slowly declined over past few months. First- the hostess actually yelled at us that we would just have wait a while for our order, we hadn’t said a word, just waiting patiently to be assisted. It wasn’t even that busy, which should tell you something. We finally get our to go online order. Should have checked it before we left, cause it was all wrong. Tacos were terrible and one order had some slimy goo sauce all over. The other was burnt crisp. Also left out our chips and queso that was an extra $8. So $50 for three burnt steak tacos, two slimey tacos and one individual serving bag of chips that was already opened that only had about 1/3 of the bag left. Sadly- we will not be visiting the Poplar Memphis location ever again.

Service and atmosphere is great. It’s a clean and comfortable environment with comfortable chairs but a dingy carpet.

Food is good for the area but otherwise unremarkable. The meats lack the depth of flavor you’ll find with other prep methods. The salsa is tasty but has zero heat which is disappointing. The guacamole is nicely done.

Essentially, it tastes good the way watermelon flavored candy tastes good, yet tastes little like actual watermelon.

Counter order custom tacos, burritos, etc. or get a specialty taco.Full bar.
