Got the Chicken Tikka Masala extra spicy, garlic naan, and mango lassi. Came out fast and tasted really great! Definitely would, and will, go back.

I will say that over all this may be one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the Memphis area. If you are ever in German Town please go visit. The food tastes just like it is home cooked and the service is amazing. Thanks to the staff for providing a great experience. I will definitely be back soon.
Vegetarian options: Their veggie section is large and flavorful trust me if you haven’t tried Indian before and you are vegetarian it is definitely a must try.

I went to this place a couple of times before and kept forgiving them for their unbridled greed. Sleazily and clandestinely making the prices creep up for what by all accounts is very mediocre, bland quisine? Sure, why not! Those wealthy Germantowners won't likely notice. Introducing mandatory surcharges for making the order a pick-up? Absolutely! Emboldened by the customer apathy, they at some point proceeded to nonchalantly add... 20% to the bill as a gratuity. I just can't find myself gratuitous to that degree. Lastly, and as a pure insult to an already well-compounded injury, there is now the proverbial 'service charge'. A last straw, as it's perhaps known. No more biryani from you... Mantra.

Very good food. Spicy but flavorful. They asked for our preferred spice level and nailed it. Friendly staff. Very clean, relaxing environment.

The chicken tikka masala is so ? But so incredibly, good. 'Help me Jesus! Help me Jewish God! Help me Allah! Help me Tom Cruise! Tom Cruise use your witchcraft on me to get the fire off me! Help me Oprah Winfrey!'

Food was good
The food was decent and the waiter was friendly. My reason for the low rating was a mandatory 20% gratuity, on top of an admin fee, and followed up with place for an additional tip. I understand larger parties have a mandatory gratuity but there were only 2 people in my party and the restaurant was not busy. If they are going to charge a mandatory gratuity it needs to be communicated more efficiently before ordering.

This is egg biryani. It was supposed to be medium heat. The taste was very plain.
When I called the order over the phone, the cost was 16.99 per plate.
When I paid, they charged my card $19.25 and I was not provided a copy of the credit card receipt to even sign it or see what they charged.
I took the copy that the resturant keeps to sign it then questioned the big difference in price; they informed me there is a credit card fee!
At no point the fee was mentioned till after the fact the card was charged! I’m surprised this restaurant still exists in such a nice part of town!
Tables cloths need some serious cleaning from the sides, top looks good but sides would make you want to leave the place.
Wouldn’t recommend it for Indian cuisine!

Charges 20% tip on all lunch orders and $3.50 more to pay by card. Hot room, No A/C. Food is ok but service is very slow. 20% tip but we had to bag our own food and wait a long time for check. Will not be going there again.

Mantra is my go-to for good tasting Indian food in the Memphis area. We have since moved away from Memphis but whenever we come back and visit we always try to eat at Mantra.

Little strip mall Indian restaurant. Menu items are not labeled as vegan or not but the person taking care of us knew exactly which ones were and not. He (Bobby) helped us order vegan items from the menu. We got the challa masala and a veggie curry, roti bread and a couple of veg somosas and the vegetable fried rice. We got the lowest spicy because of a friend that cannot handle spicy at all. It’s all prepared fresh since we had to wait 30 minutes for our order. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Food was good. Sadly , too late I found out they sell lamb which is one of the items I try to boycott. So probably won’t come again
