I cnanged my one star review ro 5 atars due to Cracker Barrel's response to my original concerns.
Some of my food was ice cold, the rest was lukewarm. Fried Okra was hot, as was the replacement mac and cheese. Mac and cheese was bubbling around the edges...microwaved.
We were in a hurry, so we ate the food. The manager came by to check on us, and I told her about the food temp. She blamed me for not speaking up. I explained that we did not have time to wait for new food. I would not recommend this establishment.
After submitting the above review, I was contacted by Cracker Barrel. They graciously addressed the issue and, in my opinion, did the right thing. Although the initial visit was less than stellar, Cracker Barrel took my concerns seriously. I could not have asked for better customer service. Thank you Cracker Barrel!!

We went here for supper and it wasn’t very busy at all. Our server was good at the start and then as she got a few additional tables about halfway through our meal it went downhill. She seemed to forget about us. We ended up leaving without dessert due to waiting over 10 minutes and it still not coming out. The food was okay, but came out room temperature and not hot.

The worst experience I have had at a Cracker Barrel. Ordered to go after dining in and I didn’t check the order. None of the sides were included neither were the sauces.

Sadly a very busy night. I'm not sure why things were so confusing yesterday but unfortunately this is probably the worst experience I've ever had at a Cracker Barrel. My friend and I got there about 45 minutes early before our relatives joined us. We were sat and greeted by a wonderful waitress. Thankfully she was our waitress and handled things as professionally as possible. Our food took another 30 or 40 minutes to come out of the kitchen. Then two of us were informed that they ran out of mashed potatoes! Really?? How do you run out of mashed potatoes at a Cracker Barrel at 4:00 in the afternoon? Then I was told by a manager that she would come my side for my second dish because I was taking one home. Never received my second side which was supposed to be onion petals. I did get however a free piece of chocolate Coca-Cola cake. But I got absolutely nothing with second meal. Thankfully we were amongst friends and family so our time together was enjoyable. But the kitchen that night was loud and rushed and not organized. Lovely manager comped my cake but I'm sure there was miscommunication all around.

We were there on a Monday night around 5 o’clock. The restaurant was less than half full. The waitress was pleasant and new to her job. All four of us ordered something different off the menu. Only one person was happy with their meal. One person ordered a steak, and it was incredibly difficult to cut with the serrated steak knife, making it also hard to chew and eat. Another in our party ordered the meatloaf and dumplings. The dumplings and both sides were very cold. The meatloaf was good and warm. The third person ordered a hamburger, medium rare. The waitress came out and said they would not cook a hamburger medium rare. So she changed the order to chicken and requested dark meat. All of their chicken is white meat (breasts), so she ordered a chef salad. The waitress came back and said they were out of salad. So that person decided not to eat anything as they could not find anything on the menu that they wanted and that the restaurant would supply. Then we waited well over an hour for our food to come. At about 45 minutes of waiting our waitress came back and said “we only have one chef and we’re super busy tonight. It should be about five minutes.” After another 15 minutes or so, she came back with a basket of rolls and muffins. The rolls were so hard and dry that they actually made a clinking noise when you tapped them on the dishes. When I pointed this out to the manager, he said “I like my rolls this way, so…“ and walked away. Another 15 minutes of waiting. We were discussing leaving and canceling our order, when it finally arrived. The service was very slow, the food was not good, and the overall experience was poor. I have been to Cracker Barrel for breakfast many times and it has been fine. However, I will never go back to Cracker Barrel for another dinner.
