Seems they are having difficulty hiring staff. There were many empty tables and people waiting. Server was great. Waited quite a while for our food. The daily special was meatloaf, portion size was a bit small for the man who ordered it.

Our server was super sweet and helpful. The store was the usual Cracker Barrel feel and shop area. Unfortunately our food left a lot to be desired. Our son got the meatloaf and said it “tasted weird “, the dumplings were the best out of his food. I had mashed potatoes and wondered why I had to break into them since they weren’t creamy at all and had a light brown color. I ordered the Maple Bacon Chicken. It was good, not something to write home about. The Mac and cheese was good though. I was on the fence about going to a Cracker Barrel again and wish we’d have spent our money elsewhere.

Our Family gathered here after Mom's burial ceremony.
The food was delicious and the service was actually pretty good as far as our glasses being refilled and our order being brought to our table in a decent amount of time. The reason I gave only two stars for service is because I ordered the one piece catfish for $11.99. However, when our waitress brought our order to our table, mine was the two piece catfish. I immediately told her I ordered the one piece, but she just walked off. When she refilled our drinks I told her again. Again, she walks off. By this time I’m very confused because she’s not addressing the issue. When I placed my order, I clearly said “One piece catfish” and showed her on the menu. It’s not the three dollar difference, but the principal of her ignoring me on the multiple times I tried to talk to her about this issue.Kid-friendliness: Cracker Barrel has always been a very kid friendly restaurant.
