Lagniappe Bayou Kitchen

Today I have found this place and let me tell you, if you’re in the Nashville/Goodlettsville, area, you’d be doing yourself an injustice to not find this place and eat here. Plus the owner, Mike, is a pleasure to chat with. (Don’t ask em for recipes tho. He’s a turd about that. 😂😂) Today I had the fried boudin with a crawfish cream sauce, greens and tomato, cucumber and onion salad. The boudin is the best I’ve ever had. Bar none. (Sorry my Louisiana friends. This wins.) The I got the Duck Wontons for desert. The strawberry Honey Jalapeño dip for the wontons was fabulous. He also just gifted me a piece of Bananas Foster’s Cake. I have not tried it yet, but I’ll bet it’s gonna make me fat. Give this place a try. Edit***The cake was just as expected. Phenomenal.***

Food was delicious. There was only one person that I saw working that wasn’t in the kitchen a young man who was doing cash register, hosting running food and constantly checking in with everybody to make sure their food was delicious even though it was just one person the service was the best I’ve had in a while.

Another great find up north of the city!! Luckily we were able to drop a trailer at our shipper and come park the bobtail next door.

The guy working the front was hilarious!! He got our order taken and we all were running into each other's way constantly because my husband and I dont know how to grab everything we need before we sit down lol

The food was TOP NOTCH!!! Felt like I was down in New Orleans eating on Bourbon St. The flavors were all there and food was cooked to perfection!! I cant wait to come back!! Took one phone of the food..already digging into it and the food was so good forgot to take photos of the rest of the meal when it all came out lol

We wanted to visit something unique away from downtown nashville and we happened upon this little place. Best Rangoon I’ve ever had and I haven’t even gotten to the boudin yet!

Please SAVE YOUR MONEY and avoid this place. The food was bland and didn’t capture the true essence of Cajun flavors. When I asked if I could swap one of my sides (grits), the service was unhelpful. The grits were supposed to have Gouda but came out plain with no seasoning and the cashier wanted to charge me to sei h iutbfir another side, even though he neglected to give me what i originally ordered. The greens tasted canned, and honestly, I’ve had better fried catfish elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and choose a different restaurant. The service and the food was horrible.

Warm, welcoming staff. The chef is great to talk with if he gets a minute. And it's really delicious food, not overly spicy if you're a wimp like me, but full of flavor!

The service the atmosphere the food 10/10 I love this place it feels like home & so welcoming, the owner was talking to us like we were friends from back in the day will visit again

Lagniappe has an expansive and creative menu with specials. The portions are large and all of the food I tried was outrageously good - loaded with flavor and worth every penny. The chef was friendly and welcomed us in. I found the inside to be on the quaint and cozy side. Nice. Support your locally owned businesses and give this place a shot!

WOW!!! That chicken & sausage gumbo did not disappoint!!! The broth, the sausage, the dark meat chicken, the spice hit just right. Sooooo GOOD!!! This place is the brightest spot in Goodlettsville!!

This was our 4th time here and it NEVER disappoints!! Each time we think “man that was one of the best meals we’ve ever had!” Portions are HUGE and you can tell they use quality ingredients.
You walk in, grab a menu, sit down and decide what you want, then order at the counter (like the sign says) similar to a lot of the restaurants you’ll find in New Orleans.

Would give 10 stars if I could!
