You can't always have perfect food but you can always give good customer service. I haven't written a bad review in years but I was motivated tonight. I took my family down to the interstate to eat local. Timberloft is high. They keep raising their prices but the quality isn't getting better. In the past I've normally had decent service so I thought I'd support them anyway. I wanted a steak. And although I will pay about $10-$12 more for their steak than Longhorn, I won't have to drive 30 minutes.
Unfortunately I walk in right at 6pm with my family and the girl tells me that the only available seating is outside or at the bar. I look around and half the restaurant is closed off with no one in it. The other half has 3 empty tables within 4ft of where I am standing. So I turn back to her and said, excuse me? and she repeats, we have outdoor "which is cold outside" we were all wearing jackets, or you can sit at the bar. No, I'm not sitting at the BAR with my 11 yr old. So I went under the interstate and ate at the New Tex Mex place up on the hill. It is very good. And they didn't sit me at the bar or outside.

Worse place i have ever been 100 dinner food was terrible i actually threw it away. I would not recommend this place to any1, I was very disappointed i had wanted to eat there for a while and will never darken there doors again.

Amazing brisket and ribs, creamed corn shouldn’t be this good.
I have been coming here for a long time, and have always looked forward to eating here. However, I was devastated to find out at my recent trip that the Cajun Chicken Pasta was removed from the menu. That was my go-to choice and a huge crowd pleaser. A lot of the things on the menu can be found just about anywhere else - but the pasta was special and unique. I highly recommend putting it back on the menu as I unfortunately don’t see myself coming back for much else.
If you have young children, don't go to Timberloft in Carthage unless they can sit obediently at the table. There's an outdoor area that looks kid and pet-friendly. It is not. Your pet may be there on a leash, but your children cannot leave the table.

The tro ... was Nasty ! Ribs was fatty and cold , bbq was fatty and they took the brisket off because it was dried out! The baked potatoes were great ! $11.99 for a child's 2 pc ck tender with fries! I will definitely not be back!

This is our second time eating at Timberloft. It's well worth the drive to get there. I had the brisket which was delicious. My wife had the loaded baked potato. This place is amazing.

Overall, the food was pretty good, just overpriced for the portions you receive. Service was not great. Waitress would disappear for long stints. Don't know if we will go back. $80 is kind of stupid for BBQ.
