Gondolier Italian Restaurant

First of all our waitress was so sweet and great but the place honestly looked like it was falling apart the walls were dirty the menus had sauce on them and the seats for the booth were covered in duct tape we tried to order two different things and our waitress informed us they were out of the stuff because they barely get what they need ordered we got our food out pretty fast but it was ok at best the Alfredo has zero flavor and I had to season it myself we usually love this place but it’s seriously run down and I see why that on a Friday night that wasn’t probably 10 people in there

Long wait. Restaurant was dirty. Food ordered a sub thinking I was getting a normal sub, but they loaded the sub with cheese over top of the sub. Definitely not what I asked for. but the pizza I ordered was excellent.

Huge portions. Excellent service. Endless bread basket. Phenomenal food. Expect to bring home leftovers & a wheelbarrow.

Veal was overcooked, tough, surely reheated and or microwaved. Pasta tasted like it had a canned sauce. Won’t be back. Although they didn’t charge us for the bad veal Marsala .

Pretty good Italian food.

Update: we ate here again on 07/12/2025. Drove from Unicoi which is almost 2 hours round trip just to eat at this restaurant. I'd have to say that the portions are 1/3 smaller than they used to be and the price is about 50% higher. I got the Gyro Plate, it had 3 strips of meat and they were burned. My wife got the Gondolier Special salad. The salad was much smaller than it used to be. And it also had very little gyro meat. Oh, the Tsatziki sauce is .99 per container which they don't tell you when you order. The service was slow. The waitress only checked back on us 2 times and I didn't get a refill for the entire meal. All in all a very disappointing experience. There are lots of good restaurants so we won't be wasting our money here again.

I loved the chicken tenders but the fries were a bit cold and the breadsticks with ranch were amazing. The service was a bit slow but it was worth it for the food. The atmosphere was quiet and clean.

Delicious. A lot of food for the money. Bri was an excellent waitress! Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our dinner tasted very good. The service was spot on. Was surprised when I got my bill found it very reasonable. Will be going back in the future.
