Amazing food! So great that we drive from NC to eat here! Our favorite place!
The absolute best ribs, Mac n cheese, & Cole slaw ever! #maandpa
Best home style food in this end of Greene County. Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner. Try this place out of you're in the area. You seat yourself. No need to call in advance. Good coffee, and sweet tea.

The owners did contact me to offer to make my next meal 'right' by offering to comp my next meal. I don't want a free meal, and I am not going to call so they can put my name on a comp list. That is not how to do business.
My food should have been comped on the day I had the bad experience, that what most establishments do.
I'm not coming back for a free meal. Give my free meal to someone who likes coming to your restaurant, it will be better served.
I can see a place having a bad day for one reason or another, but this isn't the first bad experience that I have had, and for this reason, I will not be back.
I am waiting for the owners of this establishment to respond to my review of their restaurant. I will be back, and I will rereview my experience. I will not take this scathing review down. To this day, I have not gotten a response as to why I had such a horrific experience. My guest was appalled.
You know, I look at the pictures that people post of the food that they eat, and it looks staged for the review. When I go there, my food doesn't look anything near the videos or the pictures posted. What gives?
I've been coming here on and off for almost 20 years, There is nothing down home about the food. It's just not great. Most so-called restaurants in Greeneville are sub-par and fast food like.
Most people that rave about the food know nothing about food anyway. Sorry if I hurt your feelings, but it's the truth.
I ordered the coffee with my breakfast one morning, and it was watered down. Terrible to say the least.
Another interesting tid bit, the Owners only respond to certain reviews, not all, which is sad. If you have the time to count that money on your register, you have time to respond to your customers, both good and bad.
Went there for lunch about a month ago. Brought a friend, we both had the hot open beef with mashed and gravy. There is nothing worse than soggy, gravy soaked bread. Where was the beef?? The mashed was a tiny scoop, TINY. Had the fried okra, which was served in a cute fry basket. Probably the best fried okra I have ever had.
We left there hungry, that's not good. Guess their portions need to be a little larger.
If you have customers leaving your establishment still hungry, that's a problem.
I sat down this morning and read every review, 12/23.
Same issues over and over; food, service, and wait times. Never read the reviews until today.
As for the rest of my dining experience, it was ok, but not great. The so called Head waitress was having a loud conversation with a new employee about days off, like I really want to hear that. "You have to write it down on a piece of paper and put it in the office, I can't remember when people want a day off." Nothing worse than belittling someone in public. That behavior is downright wrong. If you know anything about proper etiquette, you don't air your affairs in public. Take it elsewhere out of the public eye. The reflection on how you treat your employees is how you treat your customers.
SHAME ON YOU! How dare you hurt someone's self-esteem and self-worth.
Just wish for once I didn't have to complain, gets really old after a while. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but it's hard.
Will I ever go back to Ma & Pa's, definitely NOT! That experience left a very bad taste in my mouth. And don't apologize for that appalling behavior because it probably happens quite often. And you wonder why it's hard to find help. I would have fired her ass in a second. She is ruining your business.
What a freaking fiasco, I was so embarrassed, having brought a friend to lunch that day.

Happened to find this while searching restaurants a bit ago, and today ended up being close by. Ordered the biscuits and gravy and a chicken parm sub with fries, and both were super delicious. As for the staff, they were very welcoming and informative about the dishes and such. Would recommend to anyone who happens to be in the area, and I'll be going back for sure when I end up that way again.

I have fond memories visiting my grandparents and getting a bite to eat here. This place is nostalgic for me. The food is good and so is the service.

So here we go again folks me and my wife heard about Ma & Paw”s family restaurant it’s located at 6853 Asheville Highway, Greenville, TN. This is a spot that’s been there for quite a while. We were told it all the locals go there. We could tell they have home cooked food and I had the hamburger steak smothered with brown gravy, mushrooms, onions and before I go any further, just remember they do charge $.50 per item that you add onto the hamburger steak. I got three sides a bowl of pinto beans a monkey dish restaurant type filled with collard greens which were very good pintos were bland, but a little salt and pepper and a dash a hot sauce and some fresh onions. Does the trick every time, I had coleslaw and they do make homemade cornbread muffins in my wife had a vegetable plate with four vegetables and she also had a cornbread muffin she had bowl of pinto. Beans, She had a scoop of real mashed potatoes with chunk of potato and white country gravy, a monkey bowl of beets and a basket of fried okra. Everything tasted really good. We enjoyed ourselves and they give you a lot. Trust me they give you a lot. You get your moneys worth there and it is good home cook food and like I said, the locals go there that’s why we went, I think y’all would enjoy the place and only if you leave the parking lot and go to the left I believe it’s like maybe 1015 miles down the road and you’re in Hot Springs North Carolina. Nice I would definitely recommend this place y’all enjoy and I’ll put up some pictures too. and I just like to add that they do keep the place fairly clean. It looked really good. The day we went we enjoyed ourselves and we will be back. So folks Google has asked me to give you some clues as what to order on the menu now mind you all this was our first time there so what we showed on Google was what we ordered for the first time the locals we talked to said the catfish is wonderful. The pork chops is wonderful, and a lot of people are just saying everything is good because it’s homemade The best I can tell you is give it a shot. I don’t think you will be disappointed like I said we will be back.
Parking: Gravel parking lot, one complete row in front of the restaurant and some back away from the front of the building towards the road and the sides just mind you that it is gravel, uneven something and some spots
