I called in a to go order at 302 and they lost the ticket they said and didnt tell me till 400 now its another 25 minutes waiting on food bad business and didnt even try to make it right except im sorry wow

Always have a good meal here. The fish is our favorite. We try to get there early as, if you don't, you will wait a while because they get very busy. (Always worth the wait though).
The only issue my husband has is acoustic... he wears hearing aids and the sound bounces around - he has trouble hearing due to the echo.

We arrived at 6:15 and were seated right away, but things went downhill from there. No one took our order until 6:30. By 7:10 we still hadn’t received our food, and when we asked about it, the server just said it was “being worked on.” We left at 7:15 without ever being served a meal.

During that entire hour, no one gave us any updates about the long wait. Meanwhile, take-out orders were flying out the door and other tables who arrived earlier were finishing up. The restaurant closes at 7, so it was clear we weren’t going to be served. At 6:45, the staff was cleaning up and putting chairs on empty tables all around us.
We didn’t feel peaceful or relaxed knowing they were in a hurry to clean up and we hadn’t been served yet. As we walked out, staff just shouted “sorry about the long wait” from the door.

On top of that, the ceiling AC unit was covered in brown buildup and looked very unclean. For a place that’s been around for years, we expected better. Unfortunately, this was our first and last visit.

Asked waitress if the fish was catfish or cod and her response was, “it’s the same kind of fish that it always has been.” I informed the young lady it was our first visit, so I wouldn’t have a point of reference. After waiting 45 minutes for our food (party of 4) I noticed that the “to-go” orders were flying out of the kitchen. No sweet tea refills, the white ceilings were brown with dust around the A/C vents. Asked how long the wait would be after 30 minutes and was told”they are working on it”! When they started putting the chairs on the tables all around us my friend said something about it and the waitress said, “it is so I don’t have to do it later.” This was too much and we left and went to Greenville for Chinese. BTW, the Rice Box never disappoints!

This is my go-to place anytime I feel the need to dine out. Some of the best food I've ever eaten! I don't think I've ever tasted a better pancake in my life! Excellent food, pleasant servers, relaxed atmosphere, can't say enough good things about this place. Love it!

Food was absolutely wonderful. My husband had catfish. Hush puppies, mashed potatoes, green beans, and macaroni and cheese. I had meatloaf, collards, fried okra, and an upgraded side of sauerkraut and weenies. The service was great, also. We will make every effort to pass this way again so we can try something different!

We didn't eat because we were wanting breakfast and they had already stopped serving. We did have coffee. However when they found out we were not eating. The attitude of the staff change and they were acting as if they were mad.
