Gondolier Italian Restaurant

Unfortunately we will probably never be back. Up until today we would have always gave the restaurant 5 stars. For context, we've drove up from Crossville pretty regularly because we can get gluten free calzones there. Our waiter tried arguing with us that they have never done that there and he would know because his family owns the restaurant. Was very short with us, did nothing to alleviate any issues, and really treated us like he could care less if we were there or not after we had said we may go somewhere else knowing we couldn't order that. After speaking to the kitchen, he did say they have done things like that as a courtesy to customers, but he was 100% not courteous at all towards us. Every experience we have had down there has been awesome, but 1 bad experience can be enough to make people write a restaurant off forever. Hopefully they can figure stuff out with some of their service towards customers because everything else is good.

Went there today. It was my first time. Service was spot on and very polite. Food was delicious. My husband had the chicken Alfredo (and said it was good), and I enjoyed the gyro platter. Will be happily returning again.

Got a gyro and baked tater tater was COLD GOT my gyro and it came without tomatoes and onions. The pita bread was hard as a rock had to get more by that time we got it the meat was cold. Ended up taking it

Just left the worst meal here - the angus burger and fries i ordered were served cold. Another in my party ordered a hot sandwich and fries also served cold. My sister and her husband’s order was served piping hot though my sister never did get her salad. We waited way too long for our meal to be served. We had to flag our server for drink refills (a beer and 3 sodas). He never came back so I got up and helped myself to carry out containers. He still never came back though he served another table and passed us often, so we walked to the register and did our own self checkout. At checkout, we asked for the salad to be removed from the order because it never came to the table. They said it was included so we asked for it to carry out. After a wait, they passed over a little container. We arrived at the Gondolier at 6 and left at 9pm. Horrible horrible dining experience. Mar 17, 2025.

Canned mushrooms in the calzones, why? You used enough to rotate fresh stock. And the onions seemed boiled before adding to canzone. Gyro meat sliced way to thick. So disappointing. I love Gondolier, please do better.

Food is delicious. My kids can't get enough of the bread sticks. The only bad part is it's a little pricey. So we don't visit as often. Overall worth it.

The severs never wanna do their job and if they do it’s with an attitude plus as soon as 8pm hits they never wanna answer the phone I guess it’s because once again they don’t actually wanna work it’s a joke

The shrimp Alfredo had no flavor sauce extremely so watered down and the chicken wings dumb big and very chewy definitely a waste of money 60 dollars down the drain couldn't even eat the food

Great service and food but hate the credit card usage penalty. They charge you more for paying with a card. Inconvenient to try to plan your trip with cash.

Ordered pickup. Raw dough on the stromboli and cold in the middle. It was unsettling to bite into raw chewy and stretchy dough. Old fries. Alfredo was coagulated while the fettuccine was crusted together against the side of the takeout container. The service is always good and there's always a lot of food, but it doesn't matter if I end up with e. coli from accidentally eating raw flour.
