Gondolier Italian Restaurant & Pizza

I’m a huge supporter of a small businesses so I really hate to write this. This location always has consistently amazing service, but it also has consistently horrible food. I used to eat at this location weekly, but due to the dropping in food quality I’ve only given it a chance every few months. And regret it each time. The service is absolutely amazing each and every time I go. But the food is microwave quality at best. The only reason they are still in business is because there’s no food like it in the area. This will be my final time going until the owners change hands again. $10 for a lettuce and Great Value quality cheese salad and breadsticks and a sweet tea because I could not stand to eat the entrée. Chicken Parmesan and the chicken was smaller than the palm of my hand. The sauce was bland and watery, and the cheese that was melted on top of it was melted from the top down, but the cheese on the chicken itself was still cold enough to be solid. But I can’t stress this enough, the service is always top-notch by everyone that works there. This is not their fault.

My family and I have ate here a couple of times and I have recently gotten into giving reviews, so I do my very best to be fair about my review. These however are my own observations, as far as the food so far it has been hit or miss I get the same thing every time we go, as well does my wife. The first time food was spot on and was awesome and the service was top notch. But ever since then it has been noticeable that it depends on the time of day if the service or the food will be cooked or prepared correctly, but when it's good it's spot on and top notch but if when it's bad it's grossly bad. But I won't say don't try it, but don't go in thinking 5-star restaurant it's ok.

Stopped in for lunch. Food and service was excellent. Prices were very reasonable. Would have paid twice as much back towards Myrtle Beach. Locals have a gem here. Definitely worth giving them a try.

Baked spaghetti is out of this world. Great place to eat.

Dead here and service still sucks!! Wait 30 mins to get drinks and then you ask for more bread and sauce and they act like they don’t hear you.. This place needs to just shutdown! Gets worse and worse every time I say okay maybe let’s try it one more time!!
