Tried it twice thought the food and atmosphere was terrible..couldn't even eat it.

Was pretty disapointed with this place. My husband & I stopped on our way through town on our way home from Alabama. I always try to hit hole in the wall local establishments when we travel, and this is the place we picked. We went for breakfast. After reviewing their website there was nothing to indicate they did not serve breakfast after certain times so we arrived at 1030 & they stopped serving breakfast at 10. So they had a buffet set up that had Salisbury steak, BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, okra, cabbage & a salad bar. The Salisbury steak was obviously from a freezer, not homemade & the potatoes were also instant. Obviously I wasn't in the kitchen to know this for sure but I owned & ran a restaurant for 10 years so I know what they taste like & look like. The veggies were good & hot. Mac n cheese was creamy, had good taste but was not hot. The chicken was great. Salad bar was ok, but not special. There was peach cobbler as well which was just ok. It cost $28 for both of us to eat which for a buffet isn't too bad. I think with a little more love in their cooking, this could be a great place to eat.

Good fish, etc but the hush puppies were just cornbread balls with nothing added and were burnt.They could use some help. On a good note Brenda’s has an awesome breakfast . Will go back but I’m learning the menu and will eat according to my likes.

Found this place as I was heading south and it was a good choice. Buffet or a large selection of burgers and sandwiches for lunch. I picked the buffet for the Catfish Friday but the other days the entree will vary. Two Entrees on the buffet every day. The current menu doesn’t say but you get a desert with the buffet. Wide selection if you get here early in the lunch hour. Plenty of ice tea and a super friendly staff with Rachel working the dining area.

Although the bacon was cool and didn't seem made to order, it still tasted fine. All the food was good and eggs were cooked correctly

My husband, myself and infant stopped by on the way home from Missouri and when I walked in I had the most eerie feeling I’ve ever experienced in my 26 years of existing. My daughter and I are of mixed race and my husband is Caucasian; when we walked into the building the host was sweet but when I tell you EVERY single person OF EVERY AGE (even children) stopped and just stared at us. We were thinking they were just looking because it was kinda packed so we walked to the emptier side of the building and the same thing happened. I literally could feel the hate and I knew I was NOT suppose to be there. We left of course because of how I felt. And I cried in the car after because I’ve just never experienced anything like it. I’m just posting this review to warn others passing through, if you’re not strictly Caucasian you ARE NOT WELCOMED here!
