Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight based on consistent great reviews. My family's experience was also very good.
Be careful - The seafood soup is meant to be a meal in itself - Seriously! You will not need to order a meal in addition. It comes in a big bowl. The broth is very good and is loaded with lots of seafood.

Unexpected gem located in a tiny strip mall next to a vape store.
Simple spotless tiny restraunt, specializing in freshly prepared seafood.
Rather than the normal, chips and salsa on arrival, Las Islas greets guests with House made tortillas, saltine crackers and a small delicious ceviche and a delicious firey green sala.
I had an off menu special of marinated seafood that included shrimp, octopus, and scallops along with oysters.
The dish was very accurately described as spicy.
There is a full bar and a very serviceable selection of Mexican brews.
Can't wait to return and try the balance of the menu.

You must go! Went on whim because of the good reviews. Well here is another one. Absolutely amazing! Drinks... amazing. Food seasoned perfectly. We had the crab, fish sticks, fish tacos, and the red snapper. Everything was perfect. I may drive the 5 hours just to come back. If you are staying at the lake you have to make a trip. The ceviche was also amazing. We will be back.

I love Mexican seafood. Tortillas and ceviche brought to the table immediately. I had shrimp empanadas. My wife had fish tacos. Both excellent.
