Happened in here at about 11 am on a random weekday. The dining room was like stepping back in time. The classic decor was packed with a largely older crowd who were happily chattering amongst themselves and not buried in their phones, which made for a wonderful atmosphere.
A smiling waitress greeted us and I ordered a sweet tea, which was very good and served to me at a table that was charmingly worn from many cleanings over many years.
I looked at the menu and was delighted to see all-day breakfast. I ordered biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, eggs over medium, and hashbrowns. In a word, WOW. Just incredible. Everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. After gobbling down my meal in an embarrassing fashion, we paid a tiny, inexpensive little check, and skedaddled.
I have been raving about this place to everyone I know. If you like good old fashioned Southern home cooking, you’ll love the Bonwood Cafe!
Visiting from Indiana, I must say this is one of my favorite restaurants down in Jackson, . The food was so good. I could go back there every day. The service Was excellent And very friendly. TY ❤️

The breakfast between 4 people was AMAZING!! No one had a problem with our order at all and EVERYTHING tasted very good! The service was top notch as well!! The price point... VERY VERY reasonable! Ty for a fantastic 1st experience guys, we'll be back for sure!
