I went to Bourbon & Barley with a friend for lunch and had a great experience. I ordered the crab enchiladas, and they were absolutely divine. My friend had the shrimp and grits and said they were the best she’s ever had. We also each enjoyed a margarita, which was well made. The service was wonderful, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. The only suggestion I’d offer is to make the front of the restaurant a bit more visually appealing.

Went this past Sunday. Server was good for the most part everything came out fairly quick. Rum punch was tasty. Things kinda petered out after that. Goat cheese appetizer was underwhelming, the toast pieces were petrified and had nothing on them like in some of the pictures. White as snow. The shrimp and grits was good but criminally small portion, I felt bad for the person who ordered it. Buns on both buffalo sliders and burgers sliders were untoasted and underwhelming. The pepperoni pizza was probably the best item. Spent 125 for for people. I think we got an uninspired cook, some stuff had potential but the execution was pretty mid

We stopped in Jackson for the night on a cross country road trip and once we got settled for the night, we decided to order from Bourbon & Barley. After looking at reviews, photos on Google, and the menu choices, we were excited for some yummy food after a long day on the road. I don’t normally write reviews, but Im really disappointed with the food I received. My fiancé got the classic sliders and his seemed pretty good. I chose the mix & match sliders with the bacon bleu, pimento cheese, and goat cheese as my choices. The only burger that came complete was the bacon bleu and it was pretty good! The pimento burger was just pimento cheese and a Patty. No lettuce, no Tomato, and no bourbon mayo. The goat cheese burger was just goat cheese and a patty. No lettuce, tomato, or cherry chipotle glaze. There were small pieces of lettuce stuck to the bun like they put it on and then took it off?
Toast tab forces you to select a modification for the mix and match, and because I didn’t want to change anything, I just selected my bourbon mayo on the side. There was no side of bourbon mayo included.
Just really bummed because I was so looking forward to a good meal after being on the road all day and this meal was not worth the money or the time to go pickup. I tried to call the restaurant twice to let them know about it but no one answered.
Not sure if it was just a bad night or if takeout just isn’t something they do well. I hope maybe this was a one off for future takeout customers, or at least constructive feedback to do better going forward.

Stopped in Jackson for the night and found this wonderful restaurant. I had a marinara goat cheese appetizer that was so rich and just absolutely amazing. The goat cheese sliders were also fantastic and the carrot cake was one of the best I've ever had in a restaurant. Atmosphere was quiet and casual with lots of TVs. Service was top shelf as well! Ashley I think, sorry, but she was great!
