As someone who knows what a Smash Burger is, Burger Barn has by far the best burger I've had compared to any major metropolitan area burger joint. For an order for 8 people with all the works, the wait was max 15 minutes. All of the service gimmicks are stripped, just park, order, wait (order names are called on megaphone; you don't even need to be on the same block), pick up, and go. All of the food is as cheap and as fast as any modern fast-food joint, has all the quality of a artisan burger and hot dog joint, and is without the ostentatiousness of either. These 2 star reviewers are who keep mickey d's in business, and 1 star reviewers should just not leave home 😮💨

Travel often between VA coast and Jackson, and Burger Barn makes the BEST burgers in West TN hands-down & arguably one of the best burgers I've had anywhere!!! Enjoyed this perfect meal very much!!!

Came into town from St. Louis to visit family, and this burger place is by far the best I've had! Very good smash style burgers and the onion rings were very fresh and crisp! The staff was friendly as well. - I will definitely be coming back.

Ole fashion greasy hamburger where the meat hangs outside the bun! Seasoned fries and a milkshake to round out the meal. Everything was delicious and the staff were really friendly. I will be back!

The food taste amazing however the service sucked. Got to the window to order food and they tried cutting my order short before I could order the rest of my food. Then when it came to picking up the order after being called and standing right in front of the lady. She called us 2 more times and we had to literally wave at her. And to top it off we received 3 out of 4 drinks, all were medium sized drinks when we paid for larges. The food was incorrect aswell. Probably the worst service ive personally received.

The Hamburger meat is very very very thin it’s a Smash Burger. It you like Smash Burgers this is the place. It’s nothing like the Burger Barn that used to be on EAST CHESTER near the Q-Mart and car wash area. Where once an upon a time you could get a SLAW-DOG and a good thick burger from this Burger Barn. I hopes that one day the real Burger Barn comes back to JACKSON TN!! It would be nice to inform people that you sale SMASH BURGERS. I can’t say all their food is what you expect, I only had their DOUBLE HAMBURGER (aka SMASH BURGERS).

Drove all the way from Florida for this little local Hotspot. We stopped in during lunch & placed a large order. 7 slaw dogs, burgers, onion rings, hot ham & cheese, strawberry shakes & chess pie...absolutely EVERYTHING was delish!!!! Staff was so patient & polite with our neediness, during probably the busiest part of the day when the local downtown people are taking their lunch breaks. Cannot praise the staff enough for being so kind. The food was hot, cooked to order, & very reasonably priced. Will absolutely be back everytime we're in town.

So this little gem makes old school homestyle burgers that are absolutely fantastic for the same price as fast food. The area is a little rough, but worth the trek and safe for the most part. Place has been a East Jackson staple for years, and it's easy to see why.
