Twice now, 3-4 months apart, its just not good to my tastes. Fries were like they were rolled in dryrub.☹ Q was like it wasn't done, or had something unsavory added, cooked with green wood...? but at least not liquid smoke. I raked the slaw off, smelled old. There was no sauce on the sandwich and none to be had on the table. Catchup it was then. Price was ok. Give it a shot, you may like it. To each their own.

Clifton Brothers BBQ is a fantastic option for a meal if you are in the Jackson, Tennessee and craving barbecue. It is located in a shopping plaza, so parking is not really an issue and overall, Clifton Brothers BBQ has a cool.ambiance and a friendly staff. I went with a pulled pork sandwich (with coleslaw) and for my side, I went with their French fries. The ordering process is pretty much the standard in barbecue places. You go up to the counter and order. They give you a number and you find yourself a seat and they bring you your meal. My food came out pretty quick.and overall, I was definitely impressed. The pork sandwich was very good, though maybe next time I will get it without coleslaw (I found the coleslaw a bit sweet). The French fries were honestly amazing. Perfectly crunchy exterior and a fluffy interior. Clifton Brothers BBQ is honestly an amazing barbecue restaurant and if you find yourself in Jackson, Tennessee, do yourself a favor and check it out.

Brisket was pretty legit, they knew what the top cut is so that is rare enough to earn some points, however the ribs were nearly inedible. So over seasoned I could not eat but a few of them before it increased my hypertension from salt overload. Fries were coated in some non-food additive crispy coating that does nothing except allow them to sit for hours at a time under a heat lamp. Fries should have 2 ingredients plus the fat you fry them in.

We were passing through from Texas and decided this would be our family lunch spot. No regrets! Each kid actually ate the meal they selected, total mom winning moment. Everything was delicious, the staff was amazing, and everyone is asking to stop again when we head back home in a few days. Definitely a great pick!
I tried Clifton Brothers BBQ in Jackson Tennessee last night. This was my first visit since it was Reggies BBQ.. I ordered a half rack of ribs and two sides(slaw and fries) For 20$ this is a great price!! The ribs were very good great smoke ring! I chose the dry up and it was great as well, the slaw was also very good! I would definitely recommend them if your in the area for great authentic SMOKED BBQ

It depends how you like your barbecue. I like sweeter and fall off the bone ribs. Theirs are vinegar based and didn’t fall off the bone. But was good enough I finished half a rack.Wife got wings and thought they had more meat than most restaurant wings.
