We were traveling and passing through Jackson TN. We read the reviews and could quickly see how many of the “great” experiences had been served by Natalie.
When our server came to the table and introduced herself as Natalie we felt we had hit the jackpot!
Natalie shared the very interesting history of Doe’s and made very helpful suggestions for an unforgettable lunch.
We had the broiled oysters as our appetizer and they were exceptional! My cousin had the ribeye and I had the black and blue salad. Both were excellent cuts of meat prepared perfectly. Being located in the historic Greyhound Bus Station just added to the experience. Thanks Natalie for making our lunch at Doe’s Eat Place one we will not soon forget!

Food was just okay,a bit overpriced if I'm being honest. Service was quick,staff were kind. We didn't get some of the things that were supposed to come with our meal. Our kids's food was really bland and I don't blame them for not eating it. (It was overpriced as well) The place wasn't very clean,my shoes were sticking to the floor from stepping in something sticky and the bathrooms needed a cleaning. Only have 2 stars because the staff were really kind/friendly.

Shout out to Doe's Eat Place! The Alfredo Pasta was dynamic, and the Sirloin top notch cut. In addition, and even bigger shout out to Natalie. The service was impeccable 👌!

In short: Ridiculous prices for sub par food. The only good thing I have to say is the place itself was cool being an old converted Greyhound station and the story of how the restaurant came about was interesting. As for the food, there's hardly anything on the menu for less than $25 - $30. My party got two steaks with their truffle fries and it was just terrible. Steaks were poor quality and seemed like they were cooked by a blind toddler. Just save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

We went for Mother’s Day/date night. The steaks were delicious! Best ones I’ve had in a while. I was hesitant bc from pictures it looked more like a diner and I was craving a good meal, I’m so glad we did. I’d never seen the bus station before the rebrand but the paintings are beautiful, there was live music and a bar open to the outside that looked fun but we opted for the quiet indoor dinner that was well enough away we could still have conversation and enjoy our evening.

My husband loved his steak. Baked potatoes were very dry. My Mahi Mahi was not good at all. No flavor. There were knats flying around. No TP in restroom. Our server was unfriendly and un- attentive and it was not busy at all the time we were there. For New Years Eve splurge date… very unimpressed and disappointed! Prices were way too high for what you get.

Steaks are as good as you can get and I’ve eaten at a lot of very nice restaurants waitress was very accommodating very friendly can’t say enough about the hospitality they showed us second time I’ve ate here in Jackson same both times.

I ate every bit of it! Totally worth breaking the calorie count for the evening! Tamales, chili, and Mac and cheese were the ultimate comfort food. Took home some banana pudding! Next to try the gumbo! Thanks for a great dinner.
