Lamont's Kitchen

I hired Lamont’s Kitchen for wedding caterer services. I personally knew Bri and trusted her culinary skills. We agreed on pulled chicken & pulled pork with brioche buns with a mild & hot sauce, coleslaw, Southern Baked Beans, baked potato with full toppings & her Cheesecake desserts (she offered to make them into cheesecake shooters). I was very much looking forward to her catering my special day. Sadly, expectations did not meet the execution of the meal. Dinner started late. No pulled pork was served due to being dropped, regular hamburger buns were served instead of brioche buns, there was no serving utensils used (either their hands with gloves or regular sized spoons), guests reported some baked potatoes were not cooked all the way & some were cold, bacon & chives were not served with the baked potato “bar”, and the cheesecake looked like the variety cheesecake slices you can purchase at Walmart or Kroger, versus the homemade cheesecake jar/shooters the business advertises. In the quote of pricing, Bri asked I purchased my desired utensils and plateware. This wasn’t a concern since I was going for a certain look for tableware. However, this was a purchase she also made and included into pricing. It felt very rush and like everything was purchased already made from the grocery store, versus homemade. I have gratitude for Bri agreeing to travel and for refunding me at least $100 back for the pulled pork that was spilled but for the amount spent on catering, there were was a huge disconnect between the product/service I thought I was purchasing, versus the execution and quality of the service received.

What makes this business so appealing is how the food is fresh, and a much healthier option than what you can find in Jackson. Breyona is an amazing chef and you will always get an amazing experience when you pick up food here. Oh and the cheesecakes in a jar are fabulous!

Everything I've tried has tasted personally hand crafted, with the perfect blend of ingredients. You can tell a tremendous amount of culinary skill and care has been put into each dish.

The strawberry cheesecake is amazing and I definitely recommend this to everyone.

The process was so simple! You tell her what u like and don’t like and what your goal is. From there the price is perfect for anyone on a budget. And then you get fresh food delivered. Can’t wait to turn this into a weekly thing!
