The miso soup is not vegan!! I know a vegan who works there and has confirmed bone broth is used in their soups!! Be aware any fried foods that are vegan will be cooked in same fryer as meats.

I am visiting here, and I was shocked to find such a nice health food store in downtown Jackson. The store had plenty of snacks and typical vegan grocery store foods. They also had grab and go options. I really enjoyed the tofu curry salad and the lime black beans & rice with squash bowl.

This local grocery store has many vegan options including takeaways, snacks, and personal care products. Most days there is at least one vegan option at the soup bar (current soups offered are listed on the stores Facebook page and changes daily). Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The vegan cookies by the register are phenomenal - I can never leave the store without one!

They have everything a vegan could need for cooking supplies or personal hygiene. They also have a salad bar that includes a vegan soup option and a juice/wrap deli with a variety of vegan options. Try the curried tofu salad and the vegan chocolate chip cookies or carob bars for dessert. There is a nice area inside and outside for those who are passing through town and need a quick bite to stop and eat, too. I wish I could give them five stars, but only fully vegan places can receive this designation on Happy Cow.
