Amazing coffee! This coffee shop is inside a university so when you first enter the premises it looks inaccessible but we took a chance to check it out. It turned out to be a great little shop with a friendly service and seats overlooking three university library. We enjoyed the coffee here as well, friendly, experienced barista and very well made coffee.

Visited Modero Coffee and was seriously impressed. The cortado was absolute perfection—smooth, rich, and expertly crafted. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff clearly care about the quality of what they serve. Whether you're grabbing something quick or settling in to relax, this is a fantastic coffee spot. Highly recommend!

Disappointed. Waste of my time. Participating in the coffee crawl. Wanted to try Modero on the beautiful Union campus. Google says they’re open but they were not. Tiny sign on the door reveals closed Oct 9-12th, if memory serves correct. Hopefully, will get a chance to try it later in the month.
What a great place to meet friends or for sometime alone.
Simple but good menu options for drinks and fresh made sweets!
Great service is a bonus!

I was on a journey from Columbus, Ohio to Houston, Texas and it took me through Jackson Tennessee. I am a coffee snob. I used to roast coffee beans.
I was not happy that the coffee shop was not a standalone building but lost in some university somewhere. However, it was pretty easy to find because the coffee shop was on the sign out front. And the coffee shop was in the front of the building, inside of course. The building is the first magnificent building you see as you enter the campus.
I was excited that I had beat the rush because everyone was in class. I asked the barista what was on drip today. I am a drip coffee drinker. He seemed very reluctant to answer my question, but finally he answered that it was Colombian and that it was medium roast. (Insert eye roll here) “Medium roast?” Apparently no one does light or light to medium roast.
Because of his response, I only ordered a small. As I sipped on my coffee on my way back to interstate 40, I said to myself, “I should’ve gotten a large.”
This coffee snob liked the coffee!

Great place, maybe the only place north of i40 where straight espresso not served in a paper cup. Some soft furniture would be nice; it's all hard tables and chairs(though they're nice). Quiet, unless people are chatting, and somewhat loud and echo-y. Good ambient music (acoustic guitar atm). Great service great people, friendly. Espresso was good and tasty, though the triple looked a little small. ("Looked" not sure enough to claim one way or another. Might've been the mug). Price is good for a triple espresso, $3.25. Nice mug, sized for espresso. Nice water setup. Everything clean. Probably the best spot for straight espresso north of I-40 in Jackson.

Stumbled upon this little place while My family was traveling back to Indiana and my husband and I were looking for a good coffee spot asap. This place didn’t disappoint! The barista was so kind to my children and gave us excellent recommendations for myself as well as my kiddos. The lavender iced latte was so good! The shop is located in a college library so my kids got to practice their indoor voices, but outside the shop is a cute patio where the kids got to run and stretch their legs a bit while we enjoyed our drinks.
My wife and I ended up at Modero when passing through Jackson and searching for a non-chain/fast food/gas station coffee option. There are, somewhat surprisingly, very few such places in Jackson. Modero Coffee is actually on the 1st floor of the library at Union University, so what it lacks in convenience/accessibility, it makes up for by providing a neat campus and building to explore. We just got black coffee and a vanilla latte, and they were solid!
Love their Latte
Let me just say, this is some seriously good coffee. Try it out at least once, you'll be hooked.
Our young barista was ready to answer questions and fix my drink the way I like it. it was delicious!
