Relatively close 2 Italian in chicago area...sauce light on flavor..basil, etc. Mild. Alfredo decent. Bread good. Salad needs more. dip with chips ...more chips outweigh dip.

It was fairly busy, had about a 10 minute wait to be seated. Had to wait another 6 to 7 minutes for our waitress to take our drink order and our food oder at same time. We had plenty of time to decide on our food while waiting for our drink order. The salad was good and so was the bread and butter. She came with an order that was not ours. When we got our food, it was warm not hot like had been sitting under food lamp for a while.

We sat at a booth near the back where we could see into the service area. Over hearing a waitress complain about her tip on a $100 tab. The clanking of dishes and cursing from servers. The food was okay. Our server was okay. The atmosphere is bland, you can tell that a lot of older people eat there.

but the food needs a real chefs touch 😔 the Alfredo was transparent no flavor no spice the lasagna was no flavor no spice pesto soup was bland no heat not hot
The dessert was delicious 😋
But come on Italian is supposed to taste like you your in Rome or Italy 🇮🇹 sorry 1 🌟 from or even a half of star come on get your game up or this place won't last ...
Unless you don't care the waiters and management and host and bartenders were immaculate but the food was dreadful.
Everyone keep up the great work yall deserve a raise cause if it wasn't for the workers this restraunt would fail finito , finish , kaput, should I go on ....

Being from the Boston area and visiting the North End on occasion, I was pleasantly surprised by the dishes presented at this restaurant and had true quality to compare them to. The bread is amazing, salads are fresh and the homemade soups (both the minestrone and the daily pick are tasty). The one area of their dishes I stay away from is anything with alfredo sauce. The sauce is too thin and lacks flavor. It is underseasoned or with too little parmesan. I really wish they could raise that bar a bit. Their tomato-based, and garlic butter sauces are amazing. Chicken picatta is a favorite. Lasagna is great.

Atmosphere and service were great, food not so much. Appetizers tasted like old greats and just really had no flavor. The lasagna was was the worse I ever had, meat had absolutely no flavor and was very mushy, sauce was sweet. Alfredo sauce tasted like it came out of a jar. Very disappointing as I’ve heard great things about this place. There’s definitely way better options, if you get to go to a Moustos restaurant, it blows them out the water.
