It was fairly busy, had about a 10 minute wait to be seated. Had to wait another 6 to 7 minutes for our waitress to take our drink order and our food oder at same time. We had plenty of time to decide on our food while waiting for our drink order. The salad was good and so was the bread and butter. She came with an order that was not ours. When we got our food, it was warm not hot like had been sitting under food lamp for a while.
We sat at a booth near the back where we could see into the service area. Over hearing a waitress complain about her tip on a $100 tab. The clanking of dishes and cursing from servers. The food was okay. Our server was okay. The atmosphere is bland, you can tell that a lot of older people eat there.
Being from the Boston area and visiting the North End on occasion, I was pleasantly surprised by the dishes presented at this restaurant and had true quality to compare them to. The bread is amazing, salads are fresh and the homemade soups (both the minestrone and the daily pick are tasty). The one area of their dishes I stay away from is anything with alfredo sauce.
