We love this place. New owners since early 2024. Gyro plate is wonderful and we've occasionally split it with appetizers between two people. Huge baklava slices! Kind staff and a family business putting in the work to make the place work. Hope they're here and bringing variety to Jackson for a long time.

Loved this place! Always looking for a good Middle Eastern restaurant in the area. Came all the way up from Savannah Tennessee and it was well worth it. It's a small family business. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was amazing! I ordered several appetizers because they had a bunch of my favorites. The best was the kibbeh, the hummous was fantastic, light and lemony, the falafels were also good, and the pickled vegetable appetizer was slightly spicy and acidic and was a great bite to cleanse the palate in between. Husband had the mixed plate with chicken, beef, and lamb, and all of the meats were flavorful and cooked perfectly. Very authentic, very tasty, all homemade using family recipes. They also had their own Dubai chocolate bars (I haven't had the original but these were pretty good) and baklava. Also enjoyed one of their non-alcoholic drinks, the Lemonada which was fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and mint and it was one of the best beverages I've ever had! 10/10 would highly recommend Shawarma House.
