if you want true southern soul food, this is the place to go. My fiancee had the crispy chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese on top and loved it. I loved their fries and the patty melt i had.

I called in an order on 07/16 a little before seven, didn't receive it until 8:15. I had ordered wings and four other items on the on-line menu. They called back and didn't have any of those items except creamed potatoes and spaghetti. I didn't want spaghetti so they said how about green beans. I told them that would be OK. When the order arrived there was a big mess in the bag. Ranch dressing and juice from the green beans I guess was spilled all in the bag. What a mess it was to clean up. The creamed potatoes and green beans were cold and I just thru them out. Now the wings I have to admit were good. Just very disappointed that they had nothing available that was on the menu but the wings. Don't believe I'll be trying this place again.

Just had Door Dash deliver Sugaboat’s. I have never had it before but I now have a new favorite restaurant in Jackson! The food was absolutely amazing! Everything was truly perfect! Literally the best!

I’m very sad right now. I was looking forward to trying this new restaurant and I was severely let down. I ordered today through Door Dash. First of all the menu that was uploaded there is awful.. no way to choose what sides, drink, or dessert you want. I ordered a chicken sandwich (that was supposed to come with fries), a dessert, and a bottled drink. I got a message when my driver arrived that the restaurant had lost my order and had to start over. Then I get another message that they have no desserts at all and they’re going to give me fries instead... I was already supposed to have fries but I just said ok. When I received my food, the fries were some of the worst I’ve ever had. So so greasy and full of hard spots like they were overcooked or freezer burned or something. The chicken was similar, full of hard crunchy bits like the gristle or something and the bun was grilled which would normally be a good thing but it was grilled so dark the whole sandwich just tasted like burnt toast. I was only able to eat a few bites around the edges. I also got a 12oz can drink instead of the bottle that I paid extra for. Between delivery fee and tip I paid $20 for a can of Dr Pepper and the worst chicken sandwich and fries I think I’ve ever had; and I’m still hungry as I couldn’t even eat most of what I did get. I hate to say it but I really don’t think I’ll be trying this place again.

Order was somehow messed up after confirming it over the phone. Fish was absolutely disgusting and so was the batter on the onion rings. First time trying it and I won’t be too quick to go back. Don’t recommend at all. Maybe service will be better after corona
