Sadly this restaurant in Jackson, TN is closed, building up for sale.....the other reviews sounded so good too, and we had begun our journey in Arizona ironically where the sister restaurant is!

Food was average (had better, had worse).The inside was dirty (the floor was sticky in spots and wet in other)Music was killed by the bad sound system (to loud for you to enjoy your self). Almost like karaoke at high volume.Will not go back

Stopped into Jackson for a short trip for work and had to lookup a BBQ joint right? West Alley had good reviews and a lot of them so it was the perfect candidate. We arrived early before the usual dinner rush since we were on West Coast time but boy anytime is a good time for BBQ, especially if its good BBQ. I got the combo platter with two meats and two sides and the standout was the brisket. Just a bit fatty, falling apart with sweet Tennessee Whiskey BBQ sauce - oh and automatically on the side to allow our preferred amount of sauce addition. Always appreciated! The rest of the platter was good, just a bit forgotten compared to the brisket. The sausage was decent and the sides I've had better but nothing to warrant minus points. If I had been really ambitious I would've wanted to try to ribs and catfish bits as well! Perhaps next time!

My loaded potato was awesome. My hubby wasn’t so satisfied with his. He got the catfish plate. The fish was good. His two sides were white beans and vinegar slaw. The white beans were brown and tasted weird and the slaw wasn’t fresh.
This was a recommend by a coworker so a couple of friends and I went. This is the full rack of ribs! Everything was delicious!

Told waitress twice we wanted loaded nachos... she still brought out loaded fries... told her of the mistake... she grabbed the plate, rolled her eyes and took it back to the kitchen... I guess it was our fault... four people at the table... brought four plates... I am okay with mistakes and oversights... but this girl had an attitude... like she was going way out of her way to provide us with the basics... Food: 2.5 out of 5. Taste was okay. Food was not hot... Luke warm at best. Portions were decent... had four people at the table... all of us had the combo plate. Have us 6 tiny plastic containers of BBQ sauce... had to ask multiple times for more. From Minnesota. Was excited for southern BBQ... very underwhelmed by this place... going through the motions... not looking to wow the customer. Prices were decent.

1st time and was not disappointed. The ribs and pulled pork are AMAZING. The mac and cheese is definitely top of my list of favorites. They didn't lie when they said the queso is delicious. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff and quick service. We will definitely be back!!!

Driving through from out of state decided to try this place out in Jackson, TN as other nearby cities were closed due to winter storm Murray. Anyway, the meat was super tender and the mac and cheese was delicious. Great customer service, and ambiance. My only complaint is the smokiness in the meat. It was soooooo Smokey that it tasted like a liquid smoke was added, it didn't have that natural smoke to it. I could taste the chemical in my mouth even after I had a drink of my soda. Brought the leftovers home and the smoke just settled in more into the meat. I'm not sure what it's being used but definitely need to ease up on it because that was not a pleasant taste for such well cooked meats.
