We came in town to visit from Florida this week. My parents just got a house literally 2 minutes down the road and boy oh boy.. it's going to be dangerous cause this place was AMAZING!! I personally worked at a family owned BBQ restaurant in Florida and this place was actually better in certain ways! I had the Half Rack of Ribs with mac and cheese and slaw, my husband had the loaded pork fries, and my dad had the pulled pork sandwich with fries. Everything was outstanding and there isn't anything to complain about at all. The wait staff was always checking on us and making sure we were okay or needed anything. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely be back before we leave!! Can't wait!

I thought I had already left a review for this place because I love it! I’m not exaggerating when I say that I don’t eat BBQ anywhere else anymore. And their macaroni and cheese, lemonade, and BBQ beans are amazing. Staff is excellent.

I think this very well may be the best BBQ place in the Tri-Cities. As far as the atmosphere, this place gives off home town diner vibes, even a bit of a "hole in the wall" feeling (in a good way).

Pros: The food here is incredible. I got the half rack of ribs, which are by far the best ribs I've had in East Tennessee. They are truly fall off the bone, as in you could pull every rib bone out without having a bit of meat on them. The ribs had a heavy smoke flavor, which I like, but I know isn't everyone's cup of tea. 5/5 on the ribs. I also got a 4oz side of pulled pork, which isn't on the menu, but they did it for me after I asked. The pork isn't ground finely like some places do it. It truly feels like it's been pulled apart with two forks, which adds to the texture. 5/5 on the pork. It came with their red bbq sauce that's made in house. The sauce is brown sugar forward but not overly sweet like a KC bbq sauce would be. It has a nice tang to it which balances it out. It's great on the pork, ribs, and brisket. Probably great on everything else too, but I only tried those 3 meats. I personally like just a bit of spice in my sauce, which this didn't have, but that's subjective of course. 4.25/5 on the sauce. The mac and cheese was the side I ordered, and it's incredible. Very creamy with the perfect amount of cheese. 5/5 on the mac and cheese. Before we were even served, our waitress asked us if we would all like a sample of the pulled pork and brisket. This is something I've never had offered before at a BBQ restaurant, so this was a nice touch. We of course said yes, and the brisket was just as good as the other meats I ended up ordering. It's chopped up which seems to help it retain moisture, and while they don't sauce it, it's great how they bring it to you or with sauce. 4.5/5 on the brisket. For dessert, I had the banana pudding. This was the only part of the meal that I would say was just ok. It was a little too runny for my liking. Next time I go I'll try the tres leches which is what they suggested. 3/5 on the banana pudding. Our server was great and very attentive, and later the owner came out and spoke with us and asked how everything was. He was very personable and talked with us for awhile. He seemed truly appreciative that we were there and he seems like he has a ton of passion for what he does, and he does it very well.

Cons: The only real con I can think of are their current hours. Right now they're only opened on Friday - Sunday, and only opened until 7PM on Saturday and Sunday. The owner did say they were trying to move to being opened 4 days a week soon though.

Parking: The parking lot was just repaved so it looks very nice, but is a bit small.

Kid-friendliness: They have a kid's menu that's decently extensive, but do not have any physical kids menus (menus that will keep kids busy) at the time of writing this review, although they said they were planning on getting some soon.

Tried this place for the first time, and it’s really amazing. Their Brisket is out of this world. I just wish they were open 7 days a week?

We were immediately given samples of the brisket and pulled pork since this was our 1st visit. Our server wanted us to know what we were ordering. Both are fantastic! I chose the loaded brisket nachos, and my brother chose the Philly brisket sandwich, and we split them. We also tried the broccoli casserole and mac & cheese for side dishes. Near the end of the meal, the owner (David) came by the table to see if we were enjoying the meal. We told him that all of our expectations had been exceeded. The discussion somehow led to him telling us about soups, and he brought us a sample of their vegetable brisket soup with a piece of their beer bread. OMG! I can't wait to go back to try other dishes. Everything about this place is worth the trip. I highly recommend the drive out for both the food and service.
