We discovered Prichard's Distillery through RV Overnights while searching for a place to stay for a night—and what a hidden gem it turned out to be! We arrived a little later than expected, but owner Phil Prichard and his team warmly greeted us and invited us in for a tasting of their incredible spirits.
The property features three RV spots with electric hookups, picnic tables, and a stunning view of the Tennessee sunset. It was peaceful, welcoming, and a perfect stop along our journey.
If you’re in the area of Kelso TN, I highly recommend spending a night or two, or just stop in to tour the distillery—and don’t leave without picking up a bottle of their delicious rum!
One of my top 3 recommended distilleries to visit on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail. The old schoolhouse is cool. During the tour and the tasting you receive a lot of information from a passionate guide.
Great people! Great tasting! Great whiskey!
One of the many hidden gems in the area. An amazing tour of their distillery along with a very detailed explanation of the processes they use and just liquor in general. One of the many great examples of how the businesses in the area support one another by graciously recommending you visit everyone else.
We visited last fall for their 25 year !🎉🎊
An nformative tour guided us around the plant and explained the process. We're tea totlers but enjoyed learning about Pritchard's. I'm bringing out of town family who are visiting us in Fayetteville. I know they will enjoy as much as we did. I prefer visiting this over Jack Daniels!
Had a tour with Mike and he was fantastic. My wife and I have done tours all across the country and Mike was by far one of the best tour guides we’ve ever encountered. The Rum is fantastic (Mike will explain why when you visit), whiskey was great, and the cream liqueur was perfection. 10 out of 10 experience!
This is our third time coming back. Mike was our host/ tour guide this time and we arguably had our best visit yet. He was the most personable host and felt really welcomed. He was very passionate about the product with good parings and recommendations. I agree they definitely need an “Old School” product to match the facilities history. We hope to be back next year.
My brother and I showed up later than we planned and it was minutes before closing. Mr Prichard allowed us to continue our journey through the Tennessee Whiskey Trail. Penny was amazing and stayed late to help us. We sampled several of the products and we both purchased a bottle of Barrel Select. Very good whiskey
My wife and I had a wonderful visit last weekend! Our guide, Garrett was friendly and super knowledgeable. We were surprised and delighted to find out the tour and tasting was FREE! Prichard's is very intimate and full of history. Not to mention they have a wide array of tasty spirits! We will be back soon!
As a native Tennessean, I’m appalled at myself that it has taken 4 decades to discover Prichard’s Distillery.
For those in the Lynchburg area, do yourself a HUGE favor and budget an hour or so to visit.
The location is an old school house where centuries-old maps and green chalkboards still line the walls.
While Prichard’s does TN whiskey (w/o the Lincoln County Process), his story starts with RUM! I’m not a rum drinker…until today. They also have vodka, liqueurs, moonshine and Brandy.
The tour takes 15 minutes to go over the whole property, finished with a tasting of 4 samples. That’s the hardest part -deciding which four you’re going with.
Your and tastings are free. Bring some tip jar cash for the 7 people that run this hidden gem.
It was a fun and educational time. So GO!

We got treated like we were family! Definitely going to be more trips. Excellent additions to the liquor cabinet that are going back to Alabama!
A family owned distillery Mr Bill Pritchard, and his wife still work here daily to provide some of the finest rooms, whiskeys, and liquors in Tennessee.
Penny welcomed us to The Pritchard distillery and Angie gave us a wonderful history and tour. It was a Friday afternoon and plenty of work was happening, but they really did make us feel like family.
This is also part of the Tennessee Whiskey trail so stop in and get your stamp… and if you’d like, a sample of some outstanding spirits, they’ll take care of that too.
Loved this Mom and Pop run distillery. Took a quick tour and had a tasting. The old school history was neat.
The tour was informal but enjoyable. We were amazed that the whole operation is run by 6-8 people. And the tasting was a perfect ending. We brought home several bottles to enjoy.
