Hubby and i decided to give it a try due to the good reviews it has, and glad we did, we ordered two multas, two sopes and the quesabirria, everything was so good, the salsas are indeed spicy which we really liked it, don’t sleep on the free chips next to the salsa bar, we grabbed some and they’re really fresh and tasty, definitely will eat here again when in town. ???
We got the tacos, and honestly, I couldn't taste any flavor to the meat, Almost as if it had been boiled and then stuck on a grill for a few seconds...the salsa had been made with a bay leaf and it was very overwhelming, wanted a authentic salsa taste, wasn't bad, but it was very strong to the point of it being the only thing that was tasted..our first time here, so maybe we're just used to having tacos from the deep south..lol... Ole'???
I get takeout from El Pollito Express at least once a week. Sometimes as often as 3x per week. The carnitas and al pastor are fabulous. Get them on tacos. Get them in an enchilada. The value is good and the food is excellent.
