A great spot for lunch or dinner, this restaurant has some beautiful views and great atmosphere. The staff are all friendly and the portion sizes are great. The only thing I didn’t like is that the food seemed a bit generic to Mexican restaurants, what I mean to say is that the plate served is the exact same as you’d find in any chain restaurant, there doesn’t seem to be a personal / individual touch to the food. Having said that, I enjoyed myself and would definitely come back again.
Wow! What a place! José gave us the best service possible and the rest of the wait staff checked on us as well! The bar tender was also 100! Will recommend and will return!!!!!
Watch your checks is all I can say.
No question, El Lago is the best part of Center Hill Lake. Can't wait for the 2025 season and them to re-open!!
The food here is excellent. We sat at the bar watching a football game ordered pastor tacos. They tasted amazing.
Was pretty awesome. Having actual pretty good Mexican food on a floating dock. Prices weren't terrible.
Incredible Birria tacos! It was a great way to end our kayaking trip on the Caney

Been here 4 times. Mostly because it's the only place on the lake that's open on Sunday, which I appreciate. Similarly to other restaurants out here they over charge for drinks. 80 dollar lunch tab, ouch, that's not very neighborly lol. But more so the food was very underwhelming. I ordered the al pastor tacos and received pulled pork BBQ. My gf's meal was obviously microwaved as the plate was way too hot for coming out 5 minutes after being ordered. I get the impression that they believe us gringos can't tell the difference and that we will just eat anything, judging by the reviews they are probably right. But I have to imagine any real foodie is not impressed with this place. I almost always know if the food will be good based on the salsa, here it was runny and cheap, like pace picante. The beef was stinky. I felt over charged and insulted. Much better food at the Mexican place in front of Walmart. Update: I went again today, my family has novice taste buds. Got the bait and switch again when I ordered the carnitias. 3 gigantic pork tenderloin cubes, dry, with no type of sauce or anything. Luckily my dog was hungry. Had to lower from 3 stars to 2. Staff acts like they are doing you a favor, reminds me of traveling to a rude town in Latin America.

We stopped by for a drink & to check out the menu. The salsa was so good we ended up ordering an appetizer, & then mixed fajitas to take home with us for dinner. Pleasantly surprised that our tab was very reasonable, and our server was wonderful.

Sweet baby Jesus, you gotta try this place. Every damn thing on the menu is delicious, but the shrimp tacos gubanator, carne asada, mocajete, and house made guacamole are exceptional! Their drinks are thoroughly good and the service is tremendous.
