We enjoyed our visit to the Hermitage Steak House. The dining rooms aren't large so we had about a 30 minute wait for a table on a Friday evening. Apparently they do take reservations, so next time we will give that a try. Our waiter was exceptional. He was very polite and made sure we had everything we needed. My husband and I both had ribeye steaks, and they were cooked to a perfect medium. The salad bar was also well stocked with Romaine and spinach, cheese, bacon, cottage cheese, pasta salad, and other fresh vegetables. It was a great precursor to our meal. I would love to try out the brunch menu offered on Sunday, so we are already looking forward to our next visit.

Truly lovely experience! An adorable, cozy setting, with a few surprising menu items with a lot of wow factor. An upscale touch to that small town local place. Their appetizer options are something to definitely not miss. Yeah it's a steak house, and they get that done solidly with quality meats cooked appropriately and with great sauce options, but duck wontons and the seared ahi should be tried! And if you haven't seen the pictures, they have a glorious salad bar that isn't anywhere near Golden Corral. Wonderful staff and a true family & friends vibe here.

Amazing salad bar....Our favorite! I had the salmon and it was quite tasty. Will definitely go back!

We are a regular customer at this restaurant and always rate it a 5. But we were very disappointed in our Mother's Day meal today! Salad bar was exceptional as usual! 2 of us got salmon and it was good. However, our sons both ordered the filets cooked MEDIUM. Both were cooked medium well but closer to well. Our Server asked if there was "anything you just can't eat?" Lol! We said we shared our salmon so no one starved! She said she would let the manager know but it was not her fault because she turned our order in for both to be cooked medium and agreed they were not. They were very busy today and obviously manager had not heard from the server about our experience because as we left I mentioned something to the manager and she just said "oh I'm sorry!" Not what I would have expected for a $200 meal but especially for a customer who considers themselves regular and even takes large groups to this restaurant. Huge disappointment in how this was handled more so than the overcooked filets.

So our second time back. Went with friends who wanted to try this place out. Pretty sure they were disappointed as neither finished their main courses - salmon and a steak. My filet was a bit dry. While not bad, it honestly was just average. Certainly not special. Now the thing that was a surprise was the salad bar. Much better than I remembered. Everything was fresh and the staff did a great job replenishing items as they were consumed. Service was outstanding. However, really wasn't a $100 meal for two. There are chain restaurants that serve a steak that is better for about two-thirds the price. For a better value, you might want to try one of those, or spend just a little more and go downtown to a place like Del Frescos. We went on a Thursday night and glad we had reservations. This place is popular - but the clientele is definitely on the older side. All that said, not a bad place for a date night - nice atmosphere - but I really don't see the attraction nor do I understand why the place got so crowded after 7 pm. Maybe this place just doesn't click for me. Maybe it will for you.

Yelp doesn't specify that it is brunch only on Sunday so the menu is limited. They do have a salad bar it's ok but in comparison Ruby Tuesday is much better Salad bar wise. I was actually hoping for a lunch menu as I am not much on breakfast. So I got grilled pork chops and eggs. I don't feel like the food was all that I was expecting better quality for the price. This was my first time here, but won't be back for that. Hopefully the dinner menu is better? The service is good though and the atmosphere was beautiful!

From the moment we walked in for dinner the staff was very friendly and welcoming! The sad bar had so many choices on it it was difficult to choose from! Our steak was cooked to perfection. The vegetables I had instead of a starch were delicious and not over cooked! We spoke with the manager before we left and told her it was a wonderful experience! She was also very nice!

Moving here from Wisconsin, this place gives us that great supper club vibe we love so much. Staff has always been super friendly. Their salad bar is OUT OF THIS WORLD. And their Sunday brunch is great too. Steaks are always a solid choice. Opt for the side of grilled asparagus. Even my asparagus-hating husband loved it! The duck wontons are fantastic-we get them every time. The tuna appetizer is also fantastic, as is the bubble bread.

Salad bar was fresh, but not substantial. Gold n Corral would put it to shame for choice. By the way, the salad bar IS your vegetable, seated over the return air, t-stat was near us reading 63 degrees. Had reservations for 7:30, arrived at 7:15, waited until 8 to be seated, 8:30 started on our salad bar, limited menu. Steak was ordered medium well, came out well done, no pink. Rice was good. Diet Coke was good...not going back...telling everyone beware...

I heard great things about this place so I figured I'd give it a try for mine and my husband's anniversary. Please don't order the porkchop. It would be good but the chef was way too salt heavy. All I tasted was the over powering salt (and I love salt) I couldn't eat it. 2 stars only because of the server Abby and creme Brule. Next time I'll spend a little more and go to bourbon steakhouse. I took my husband there they asked if we were celebrating anything I said yes his 40th birthday and coast guard of 21 year retirement. The staff went out of their way to give him a personalized card! I wasn't expecting anything but they definitely went out of their way to make it special!

The food was delicious and service was fantastic. We came in for a birthday with a party of 11. They handled us well and no mistakes. Food was promptly served and it only took two servers to accommodate us. They were so friendly and also familiar with the menu. Make sure to check out the salad bar when you go. It's a nice one. They also have full bar service. You won't be disappointed.

Wasn't sure we were going to get seated on a slow Thursday night. But they worked us in quickly. The staff was very well trained and attended to all our requests and answered all our questions. The salad bar alone is worth the trip. Everything was fresh and presented well. We all had steaks cooked to different tastes and they were on the mark with all of them. My only regret was I didn't save enough room for dessert.

It had been a long time since I had gone to Hermitage Steak House. I had a good previous experience so we wanted to try it again since my husband had never been. I will say this time was very different from previous years. There is a buffet style salad bar that I was surprised to see after Covid. We ordered ribeye entrees and the teriyaki chicken. The steaks were very thin for a ribeye and was missing a nice sear. The meal was $120 for 3 people. I honestly feel like it was extremely overpriced for the food quality offered. It was disappointing to see the quality of the meal change so drastically from my previous visit. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

OK, I am breaking this down bit by bit and will come up with my rating. We go a few times a year, this reflects my visit tonight, but I know this place well. Atmosphere- old school, classic, what I picture as a traditional steakhouse. Only downside is it gets a little loud- 4 stars Service- greeted at door, seated, server did his job. Forgot a few things here and there, but quickly made it right- 4 stars Menu- could be considered slightly limited, but I would say concise. Enough variety, Nothing outlandish, just the classics: steak, salmon, grilled chicken, Pork chops and the usual sides.- 4 stars Food/presentation- I am not a huge steak expert but I know when it is cooked well and tastes good and I always enjoy it. The sides are not spectacular but not bad- 3 stars Value- it is not cheap. But entrees come with the SALAD BAR!- that alone 5 stars. NOW for the salad bar! Imagine the best salad bar you've ever been to and add some really unique offerings: smoked oysters, anchovies, house made (I think) dressings and any and all toppings- 5 stars I come up with just about a 4 star.

On there website says reservations are suggested. Made reservations at 10AM and confirmed for 7:15PM Dinner. There at 7:15PM still had over a 30 minute wait. Restaurant was out of a lot of selection on there menu for a early Saturday night. Steak came out as ordered but was tough, chewy and dry as a bone. Salad bar was nice. Servers were not very attentive. Price was outrageous.
