THIS WAS MY FIRST AND LAST TRIP TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. RUDE!!!! RUDE!!! RUDE!!! I was sent by a person who stated this was the best place in town but this was not the case. Their special of the day Ribs were sold out by 4:30. How can they be out of this so early??? I guess we hey only had money enough to purchase 2 or 3 to cook. That's why they were sold out so early in the day. I had a order that would have been well over $100 but ended up ordering less than 30. Sad!!!! Chicken sandwich was not the best that I have eaten and the Fries were cold and actually had the texture that they were not even cooked completely. The absolute worst thing is they wouldn't even let me try the cheese on nacho to see how spicy it was. I had 3 others that wanted them but not knowing how spicy it was I had to go else where for their food. They actually expect you to spend 13 dollars on a chance u can eat it. I asked about the wings was told they were Xtra spicy. I got the impression I wasn't wanted as a customer and took the hint. Went around the corner to get food from a establishment that wanted my business and had no issue dipping a straw into a sauce to ensure the person I wás purchasing it for could eat it...
Dietary restrictions: Was told that I had to take the order as it was posted on board so I would say they could care less about someone's dietary restrictions. My husband has CLL which is cancer of the blood so he has a spice restriction and I was told pretty much either I wanted the stuff or I didnt.

Rating it a 5 because there was no good reason to rate it a 4 or below. But please note, this isn’t what I’d call BBQ. It was tasty and moist. It was also filling with good portion sizes. The price was fair, restaurant was clean, and I liked everything I ate including the cheesy red potatoes. But at the root, it’s truly just oven roasted chicken or pork on a bun. Not what I’d classify as BBQ. No brisket on the menu either.

This was a great lunch stop. The pork barbecue was cooked very well and not dry like some barbecue tends to be. The sauce was just the right spice level. I had the potato salad and baked beans as sides and was happy with them. The cornbread served with the meal was very tasty and I could have easily eaten a second piece. Very pleased with the speed of service as well.
You'd get five stars from me if you actually had Mac and cheese just ONE TIME. Who runs out Mac and cheese before 5:30pm EVERY SINGLE DAY for months? Strouds. A smart restaurant operator would alter their food prep and planning so that this doesn't happen. Going to start hitting Whitt's until further notice. Very annoying!

The baked beans were so spicy I couldn't eat then. Ask for mild and hot sauce and the mild wasn't mild it was to spicy for my liking. The Cole slaw was ok if you like vinger base Cole slaw. The bbq pork was good. Had to use some sauce I had at home

Visiting the area when my brother and I stumbled onto this place. Atmosphere and customer service was real nice. We had the Pulled Pork nachos, drinks and Jalepeno Cornbread. The Nachos were tasty, the Cornbread was unique, but not something I'd order again.Overall, it was a nice quick bite.

Average barbecue. There is not much seating, a very old building.

The food was good, but they put wrong condiments on sandwiches. We had to scrap stuff off and not as tasty as if they'd had correct stuff on them.

Extremely sub-par experience...poor customer service and unfriendly staff...then only saving grace was the food was fresh; however, at nearly $18 for a BLT (with only 1.5 slices of Bacon) bag of chips and SMALL (advertised as Medium) sweet tea this restaurant is WAY OVERPRICED and limited value. While the location may be convenient I would recommend that you only visit if you have any coupons to manage the expense; and also, ONLY IF the proprietor changes their serving sizes and offers reasonable portion sizes for the prices that they charge.I left hungrier than when I arrived with my wallet much thinner.

Good food options and nice people but they REALLY need to cook their soggy fries longer. We ALWAYS have to air fry them when we get home to get them crispy

Barbecue Nachos were great! Banana pudding was good too, tiny serving though.

Went to Lebanon because I had several appts at wilson county Vanderbilt hospital. I live 1.5hrs away. When leaving at around 3:45, i was passing a strouds bbq. I frequent the strouds in cookeville but i live north west and wouldnt be going through ckvl on way home. I stopped and bought a value pack 1, pork with coleslaw. Got home took out of bag and there was one tiny cup of bbq sauce for 6 sandwiches? There was a tiny cup with brown water in it???? Have no idea what it was. When i took a taste of coleslaw it was the worst i have ever tasted. Just by looking at it, you can tell that some shredded fresh cabbage was added to what i guess was old rotten slaw as the new cabbage hadnt soaked up the dressing. It just tasted rotten. Threw the slaw out which i usually put on my pork sandwich and had to pull out the sweet baby rays sauce i had in fridge. Probably be a while b4 i revisit strouds in cookeville as the slaw left a very bad taste in my mouth and its not bbq without the sauce.
