The staff is extremely racist. I went in to retrieve a pickup order for someone and was very kind to these people for them the rudely try to dismiss me, treat me like I was going to steal my patron’s food and refused to supply me the customer’s receipt so that they can ensure their order was completed accurately and then ignored me out right. If you are black I would absolutely avoid this place, and it’s horrible when not black people open businesses in historically black neighborhoods or patron our neighborhood and treat us like we are scum and thrives when we treat you all with kindness. Disgraceful!!!!

This is a traditional south Texas Taqueria off of 231. The food was tasty but not the highest quality steak, which actually makes it more authentic. The spice level was definitely on par with what I recall from San Antonio. I grabbed a dozen tortillas to take home as well, very affordable.I recommend stopping by and checking it out.

Super kind older women and a manager explain and help experience a truly flavorful culture. Fresh Fresh FRESH fruit, and veggies. Prepared steak ? Chicken ? and chorizo tacos ? with fresh made tortillas. Rice, beans, roasted peppers ?️ of all kinds. Cilantro and slaw along with fresh made sauces and cut lime for quite a feast! Live music ? playing at plenty of our door seating.

we absolutely LOVE Mar Y Tierra!! we have eaten there at least once a week since we found out about them a few months ago. They serve fresh, delicious food that comes out quickly with prices that you can't beat! We have NEVER had a bad meal here. we tell everyone about this place!
