Sometimes you just have to get back to your roots. Iām a southern girl born and bred and thatāll never leave my heart. This truckstop is special to both my husband and I. The atmosphere, everyone here, plus the food. Itās a wonderful place to take a break from the road. Homemade chicken and stuffing with gravy, green bean casserole, greens, and cornbread was our dinner tonight and every bite was delicious.

Been by here plenty of times otr and finally stopped, which I'm glad we did because it won't be our last, it might not be much to look at but whenever you walk in you automatically feel welcome, from the store to the restaurant the service is great and the food was absolutely amazing, yes they charge 15$ for parking but hey it's cheaper than most other places and you not only feel appreciated and welcome you also get a home cooked meal and the prices are good, check them out,, thanks guys

Not a lot of places like this around anymore. Husband and I stopped in for supperā¦ā¦.pretty good. I had a grilled ham and cheese with tots (wasnāt that hungry) but my husband got four pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, fried apples and cornbread. I found my appetite and ate mine and a lot of his! Wish places like this werenāt going out of style. Good food and good service!

First, I never complain or leave bad reviews butā¦ā¦this was bad. Stood at the front without being greeted and then told āI think there are some open tables over thereā Rude, but we still gave it a chance. Our waitress was very nice and apologized for the very slow service as they were short staffed. The food was just ok. Place was dirty. 2 stars is for the rude lady that told us to go find our own seat and then when we waited in line to pay, after waiting 45 mins for our food, we got to the front of the line and she told us to go pay inside the gas station. Ummmmm she just rang up 3 other people. She was so rude. Couldāve dealt with the other stuff but she was awful. 40$ for ok food and terrible customer service. Will never go back.

Went inside the store and spent $67 in food, drinks, and merchandise.....still charged me 15 for parking...after I told them I will be leaving in between 8 and 9pm. My first time here, definitely my last time also
Uncle Peteās is truly a homey feel and is a wonderful place to eat at! The restaurant is very unique and filled with love! There was an older gentlemen that worked there that brought us food. We loved hearing his stories about the photography he did back in the day and how things have evolved. The food there is definitely something you donāt find very often with comfort and authenticity. I truly hope this restaurant stays for years to come.
