Just had to try the Shoney's in Lewisburg out. My family & I will never be back. Walk in & we were greeted by the hostess. She looked & acted like she could care less about being there. We were seated & were looking at the menu. My husband & I wanted to order something off of the menu, but were told that we could not order anything until 4. The time was 3:45. We proceeded to get a salad. The items to make a salad looked rough.Just old looking. Not fresh. The soups were almost empty & the potato soup was dark brown looking. The food off of the hot bar looked & tasted like it had been laying around for a few days. Some of the items had a fish smell, including our drinks. Well, we were finally able to order from the menu. My husband had a club and I had a slim Jim. The onion rings that we had with our sandwiches were burnt looking. Looked as if the grease/oil had not been changed in a while. The server that we had was very nice & understanding. Not too many people in there eating at the time. Maybe three or four tables. I am not the kind of person to leave a bad review, but I just call it out as I see it.

Food is good. Staff is nice but could smile more often. It's busy but you get seated fairly quickly.

This place had a breakfast buffet that I cannot complain about. I had the sweet tea and that was also good! Good service!

The buffet has been pretty bad every time I've gone there, everything old and stale. The service is always good so that's nice. But good service with terrible food still makes for not much of a reason to return.

Parking: Plenty of spots, parking lots always empty

Fresh food. Loved the lasagna. Great service. So happy to see a Shoneys still operating. Good pricing.

We literally just walked out. We stood up front for 10 minutes. Took forever to get seated. And then when we finally were seated, the server waited on people who were seated after us. Never coming back. I can't rate the food since all we could do is smell the breakfast bar.

Update:: We stopped at the Shoney's in Fayetteville. Packed parking lot. Looked way busier. We were seated in 10 seconds with a packed dining room. Manager was actively engaged with customers and staff. Breakfast was delicious. Service was outstanding. About to switch over to the Fayetteville Shoney's to leave an outstanding review.

Waitress was awesome, but the food was not.. It was old dried out, and tomatos on the salad bar were rotten..

Would you rather be peasants in a IHOP, or kings in a Shoneys?

They had 1 girl taking care of orders, food, drinks, checking people out and making food. 2 other older ladies just standing giving her orders. Food was very undercooked. Just not good experience.
