Ate here while visiting family who were camping at the park. I didn’t have high hopes at first because the facility looks outdated and there weren’t many people there. But it just got better and better! We sat by a giant window, and the view was great; it was a misty, gray, spring day but all the trees were bright green. I had the club sandwich, and the others had burgers and fries—the food was delicious, and I even had a great cup of coffee (side note: such a cute mug! I would have bought one if they were in the gift shop!) The service was excellent.I think the vintage look of the place could really be a strength if it were just freshened up a little! In the end I really loved the vibe & can’t wait to go back again!
Kid-friendliness: The waitress was super nice and patient with my son, getting on his level to talk with him about his meal options :)

What a disappointment! Both of us grew up in southeast US and are fond of catfish. We love everything about our life now in the southwest US except the fact that restaurants with catfish on the menu are rare and those that serve it do not do it well. We were camped at Pin Oak Campground and got really excited reading about the Saturday buffet at the lodge which includes catfish. Again, what a disappointment! Catfish was pretty mediocre to us (not very well seasoned) and the other offerings were even worse. Baked Beans were canned Pork and Beans and it appeared that someone had removed the "pork". Great Northern Beans also came from a can and must have been "no salt added" version - no taste. Green Beans were also on the buffet but I did not try them - I would guess also came from a can. The other feature of the night was Barbeque - ribs and chicken. I cannot imagine that there was an actual barbeque pit, or even a barbeque grill, anywhere near these items - sad representation for an area of the state that is known for barbeque. The "rolls" were obviously from a package. Packaged rolls can be pretty good but this brand was just ok.On a positive note (finally) wait staff (Bree) was very attentive and kept our glasses filled. Thank you, Bree.

Our food was terrible, and at $20/person it was a rip-off. Never eating there again!!The lighting in the dining area is awful.

Excellent service yet our sweet and efficient young waitress could not overcome the quality of food served tonight. Fried catfish was came out extremely hot temperature use but was undercooked. Very fishy with an ammonia-like taste, it was simply horrible. Accompanied by cold, seasoned French fries with little taste, sugary sweet mayo slaw, and plastic-tadting, dense hush puppies.I received six pieces of fish on my plate. Could only stomach one. It was all just really, really bad.Husband ordered a hamburger steak. Overly salted, it came with the same sugary mayo saw I had and a bowl of steamed broccoli with absolutely no seasoning.Big State and National Park fans, we know state park food. It won't be great but it usually won't be horrible either. Tonight, it was utterly horrible.

Bbq Buffet was amazing . Staff was nice and price was good.
Met family here for a nice lunch. Choice between having the buffet or ordering off the menu. The menu wasn’t huge, but offered enough choices for a variety. Servers were friendly; portions were fair and quality was pretty good. Overall, a good meal
Great little get away! Staff is very friendly! Room is spacious and clean. Beds are comfy. Pool is big and clean. The ambiance is the real reason to stay here! Quiet and nestled in the woods next to a beautiful lake. They serve a continental breakfast but the restaurant is only open on the weekends. We will be back!
