Stopped in again based on a previous visit. Walking up, a large portion of the staff was meeting on the large patio and the conversation was very hostile. One staff member was talking about physically fighting another staff member and telling people to speak up. Once inside we were greeted and we asked to sit outside. We were shown to a small patio area with 1 large table. Lots of spare chairs, filled ashtrays and debris. Fonecia(sp?) was wonderful, the highlight of the visit. We ordered 2 large beers and the pretzel appetizer. Took a while but was tasty. Lunch was ordered, a Carmichael burger, cooked medium, only to find the signature pimento cheese wasn't available. Substituted Colby jack but not sure what was actually on it. Burger was almost raw in the center. I ordered the Cobb salad with shrimp, blue cheese dressing wasn't an option so I chose the vinaigrette. Shrimp were overcooked and tough, blue cheese crumbles were aged looking. Found 2 big chunks of the stem/heart of the lettuce in my salad. Beer was good and cold as well as very reasonably priced, $11 for 2 25oz beers. So much on the menu wasn't available. Not worth the drive to go back.

We went there twice since the new management took over. The first time the service was great, the food was good. The prices were fair. The second time we went no ever came to seat us. We even rang the bell twice. So we walked out and went to Monkey Town.

Went there around 3ish on a Thursday. We ordered 2 entrees and beer pretzel appetizer.. had 2 beers apiece blue moon bottle. Food was good, service great. I thought abit too pricey. $4.50 a beer, and to upgrade a side on the dinner $5.48 extra for a loaded baked potato. After tax the bill was $94.00. But historic area great ambiance and good food. Will save for a special occasion next time. Enjoy your visit, lots of history to the place

They serve only beer here; no wine or hard alcohol. Great service. The brussel sprouts were smushy but the onion rings were very crunchy. Ate lunch here so, can't comment on entrees. This place has great potential

The best food in Loudon, hands down! We've dined here multiple times in the past few months and every experience has been exceptional. Our guests have been equally impressed with the outstanding quality and variety on the menu. While we had some service issues a couple of years ago that led us to take a break, we're so glad we decided to come back. The service is now just as excellent as the food!

It's been a couple months, but you'd place is not great. Service sucks, food is mediocre, and it needs updating.

We were served burnt onion rings and had to hunt for our server to ask for a re-do on them. We Didn't see the server again after the new order was served. (She was outside smoking.).
Our iced tea glasses never got refilled so we went thirsty the last half of our meal. We were the only customers in the restaurant the whole time we were there. Guess we should have taken that as a clue. We will not be back.

I don’t fully understand why there are negative reviews because our experience at Carmichael Restaurant & Tavern was wonderful. The food was great (I ordered the smokehouse burger) and our server Bryley was excellent and very attentive. I encourage Lenoir City and Loudon residents to please visit this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Our 2nd time for lunch. Great tasting food and big portions for your money. Always good sevice. In the bar area, you can sit on a bar stool or at a table or booth. Try the Black and Blue burger, and if you like coleslaw, theirs is top tier.

The building has history, which is cool. Be sure to check out its story written on the wall in the large dining area.

We are history people and went here becasue of that. Service was good. Food was OK, not great, not bad. We were only ones in the restaurant which we actually liked becasue it was so quiet. Prices were good for what you get.

Really nice staff and excellent food. Oh, and their cheddar biscuits are way better than Red Lobster.
