Ordered a Boom Boom shrimp salad and received a grilled chicken salad. Sent it back and then got a plain, grilled shrimp on a salad—no boom boom sauce—with blue cheese dressing that I don’t care for. I ate the six shrimp and left the rest and mentioned it to our waitress. She apologized but didn’t remove the charge from our bill. My husband’s hamburger was fine, although his fries were not hot. I try Toqua every six months and want to love it, but it always disappoints....
In a word, Slow. Came in at 1045, with only three customers already there. We ordered simple to make breakfast sandwiches. It took almost 20 mins to get our food. Also, one customer next us waited 15 mins for just toast and two sausage patties. We asked our server about te issue, she was sorry but had no answer. Also, no manager on site. This is third service in a row where food service took 20+ mins for a simple order. They need an expediter to get service back on track...
We were at Toqua on Tuesday, same night as the band. Needless to say, Toqua was jumping. We sat immediately. However, we waited at least 10 mins before our server came to take our drink order. This by no means was the fault of our server as she was inundated with tables. I wonder how management can plan for something like this in the future... All in all, our meals were delicious. The mahi mahi tacos were delish!
