My friends and I had an annual party to celebrate 2 birthdays and decided to have Bailey and Cato's cater the affair. We were gobsmacked by how hot, fresh and delicious all of the food was and everyone came away satisfied. We had catfish and salmon croquets with mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and turnip greens and cornbread.

The food was really good. The seating is old and seems to be more of a order and take with you type of place. I was a little surprised they didn't have a fountain drink machine or sweet tea option. In the south with a meat and 2 place sweet tea seems to go hand and hand. The girls working behind the counter were very nice and friendly. The food itself was really good.

The staff was very nice....the food was horrific the mac and cheese was noodles and cheese was not even stirred together no season cheese lay on top on noodles, the yams no season looked like yam were baked whole and opened up no sugar or cinnamon or spices...The cake and pie was extremely dry and virtually not edible.. I always support our business but we got to do better. Everyone has different taste buds and so you can try this spot for your self. The fried chicken was seasoned and good, everything else had no seasoning or was extremely dry.

DO NOT REFERRAL 5 NEGATIVE STARS. NASTY NAST
This was a carry out order. This establishment or line up & wait style, to be called up to order. Also a few tables. The main problem I had is... their card punch style system, small print. I'm not from Nashville area. Someone sent me in for food. They have a small print on the card that's confusing. When I asked, I was told read the small print. $13 or less. The last punch off supposedly means you get a free meal. That didn't happen. I had to go & explain this to the person that paid for two instead of one free. Not good business & should be looked at. The same thing happened to someone else while I was trying to get a understanding. The food is just okay. I probably will go elsewhere next time, when in Nashville

Great food and service. Prices were cheap and the food was plenty. Drive from Indiana just to try it and I was not disappointed. I will be making the trip again.

Didn't have smoked chicken the last few times I've stopped 🥲. That only made me sad that day. No big deal. I went again a couple of days later and left very happy. Editing this week's post on 10/10/23 and feeling very disappointed. I absolutely love C&B.. atmosphere is great. Food is awesome. However, today, I left feeling some kind of way. I ordered yams with my meal. The serving pan was nearly empty and the last pieces pretty mushy. I asked if I could get some fresh, larger pieces. The young lady on the cash register told me no,they wouldn't bring out anymore until all was gone in the pan. You know, there is something called being realistic and showing appreciation for your business. She didn't have to know that I've followed them from previous locations and have been to this one MANY times. I solved my own problem by PAYING for an extra order which came out of the new pan brought out as soon as the server scraped the bottom for the juice and mashed pieces I received on my plate.Do I punish myself by discontinuing my patronage or do I chalk it up to signs of the times? I don't know. Feeling much unappreciated 🥺

After showing rentals stopped in for delicious meat and two-style food. Robert N. Hoff had lasagna and I had ox tail with gravy. Delicious fried cornbread, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese.

Cashier/young lady working on line was rude!!! After being told we had to wait 25 minutes for chicken I chose to add another vegetable after we had already paid $40 for our and only had a credit card and a $100 bill. She advised I had to spend another $10 to use my card or go next door to get change for the $100 bill to purchase the vegetable. Waited 25-35 minutes for chicken with feathers fried in old oil. White meat was darker than the table. Mac and cheese was made with powdered cheese with a bit of shredded cheese sprinkled on the top. Fried corn was fried in the same old grease they used from the chicken. People should stop selling garbage and fake soul food. This was straight garbage!!!

I ordered 2 ox tail plates Mac/ cheese, turnip greens. Second plate was still ox tails, turnip greens, white beans. Corn bread on both. Yes I’m eating both. Let me tell you they have the best ox tails in the city. The greens are mellow and nothing has changed about the good food.
