Got two orders of catfish with sides to go. The breading and level of fry was perfect. Even two hours after. Hands down, the best fried okra anywhere, ever.

This place has been referred to me for a long time. I finally went recently. So far, I've only been here twice; once with my friends and the second time with my wife. There's an easy lunchroom style setup. The food and service was consistent. If you like Southern and/or soul food, the food choices are like going into Grandma's kitchen when she's in a good mood to cook all your favorite dishes. And even if the aesthetics differ from before, the taste will still be great. The service is efficient. They don't talk a lot but they are still friendly and fast. You can appreciate that especially since you want your food to stay hot. The seating is okay but it seems most of the clientele were grabbing plates to go anyway. I and the people I was with on both occasions enjoyed the experience. You can make it want you want versus the atmosphere imposing itself on you. Places like this don't need 5 stars to compete. It's the scars and blemishes that make it niche & pretty.

The food is edible but not what i expected grom the south.the mac and cheese was lacking salt, the greens tasted like they came straight out the can,no seasoning no meat.the ribs was tender and ok if they give you enough sauce for the ribs.also mo salt or pepper available for take out orders.the cornbread was the best of all the food.i wemt there om today, oct 18 at abt 3:40 pm.ppl that wanted oxtails they were telling them they will be ready at 4 but when 4 came it was 4:30.basically had them waiting for nothing. the cashier on duty was very friendly.thank you for that experience.

Getting over and know better. Got 2 plates for $15, as the menu says. Ordered 2 wings ONLY fresh , and total went up to $55? That’s additional $25 for 2 damn wings. Do better and cut the greed 👎🏽 wouldn’t dare suggest or support

This place sometimes food good sometimes not. Rude never what’s listed. Hours of operation changed daily. Rude. Small portions. And sadly because this is considered good soul food here.

Good food, lady behind the counter was kind of rude, maybe because they closed in 45 minutes.

My friends and I had an annual party to celebrate 2 birthdays and decided to have Bailey and Cato's cater the affair. We were gobsmacked by how hot, fresh and delicious all of the food was and everyone came away satisfied. We had catfish and salmon croquets with mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and turnip greens and cornbread.

The food was really good. The seating is old and seems to be more of a order and take with you type of place. I was a little surprised they didn't have a fountain drink machine or sweet tea option. In the south with a meat and 2 place sweet tea seems to go hand and hand. The girls working behind the counter were very nice and friendly. The food itself was really good.

The staff was very nice....the food was horrific the mac and cheese was noodles and cheese was not even stirred together no season cheese lay on top on noodles, the yams no season looked like yam were baked whole and opened up no sugar or cinnamon or spices...The cake and pie was extremely dry and virtually not edible.. I always support our business but we got to do better. Everyone has different taste buds and so you can try this spot for your self. The fried chicken was seasoned and good, everything else had no seasoning or was extremely dry.
