Each soup on the menu is worth the drive alone. My favorite is the Waldorf (basically a crab bisque loaded up with actual crab), but don't sleep on the gumbo or MD crab soup, both of which are great.
The food is amazingly delicious and portable. Nice clean dining area with a wonderful staff.
I brought my family for the first time tonight and it was fabulous. Nikki was so friendly and helpful ( very hospitable ). We will be back and will tell all our friends.
You need to stop here the next time you're in Nashville. Blue Crab Shack is amazing and won't disappoint! Don't let the photos on the menu fool you. One entree is more than enough. I ordered two and took one home.
Blue Crab Shack The'Ville is Nashville's best and newest kept secret. The food is amazing and the service impeccable. My daughter and I had the shrimp tacos and crab cake platter. The most flavorful and fresh seafood I've ever had!
The food(Chef Lisa is amazing) and the atmosphere was fun and relaxing(Nicki handles the front of house and makes you feel like an old friend). It's a bit of a hike from Murfreesboro (about 30 mins) but well worth the drive! I recommend everyone try this authentic Maryland based cuisine. The Crab based soups (made from scratch) are the best we've ever had in all our travels. You will love it! We will surely be going back very soon!
Great food! Service was great. We were blue crab newbies and the owner gave us a lesson on how to eat them. We ordered crab balls / crab dip / grilled shrimp salad / The Dunbar platter - all were great.
The owners are great and humble people #1 the food,.... well lets just say its beyond good. !! Crab balls are to die for . Highly highly recommend stopping here. The building may not be fancy ...but with food like this it doesn't need to be!!
When you pull up to Chef Lisa crab shack, you are arriving at one of the best seafood places I’ve ever ate. Be patience because the food is worth the wait! We got the blue crab nacho to start, and they were amazing. For the entrees, we had shrimp, crab cakes, salmon wrap, crab balls, and everything was just fantastic. Make sure to try the soups as well because they are incredible! The portions are plenty and you will definitely get full! Worth every penny! Keep up the great work Chef Lisa!
Being a resident of Maryland we take our crabs serious. From the dip to anything stuffed( stuffed shrimp, chicken, salmon.. etc) . With that being said this place did not live up to the Maryland standard.Pros: Catfish was delightful. Between the catfish and the corn on the cob, they was the best thing on the menu. You get 2 nice big fillets fried to perfection. Corn on the cob was buttery and sweet and with hints of old bay.Cons: the crab dip was probably the worst thing we order. Very little and I do mean LITTLE crab inside the dip. It taste like mayo with old bay and some cheese chunk in the middle. For the $17 I would never get again. Seafood salad was blah. It was dry with ONE cut up shrimp inside it. Definitely was not a Seafood salad. Crab balls where plain and had a lot of fillers in it. 4 for $16 is not worth it. Was kind if glad we didn't get the crab cake we can only imagine it would taste like the crab balls. The cornbread they let us try would of been good if it was burnt at the bottom. If this place was in Maryland we definitely would of sent it back but we supported and will not be going back. All in all it was pricey for mediocre seafood.**Before I forget Customer service was remarkable. Our waitress was friendly and attentive**.

Thanks for bringing the best of Baltimore to Nashville. Just finished eating with the family, dozen steamed crabs, crab cake sandwich and soft shell crab, AMAZING!!’ Best food ever. Brian the owner and the rest of the staff couldn’t be nicer. This place is a must for anyone that wants great Maryland crab.
We were visiting Nashville & wanted some seafood. After seeing how packed Joe's Crab Shack was, we decided to drive out here. It was definitely worth the 20 min drive out. I have never had fresh crab before! The food was SO good. The service was phenomenal, I felt so welcomed as soon as I stepped foot inside. They even gave us complimentary chips as an appetizer & a sample of two soups! I got the seafood pizza because I wanted to try something new. It was really good, I recommend trying it of you wanna go outside the box. Very great overall! I really hope the kind owner will branch out to downtown Nashville!
Awesome local place for seafood!!! The staff are so friendly and so fun!!
A great place to eat! Highly recommended! Thank you and we will be back.
We have lived in Nashville for over a year now and we have been to some great places. This place is one of best if not the best. The food was on point and the staff were incredible. This place is a must. This is our new regular place for sure. Very cool place and very well done.
