Their food was amazing, but the prices on the menu do not match what they charge. When I pointed it out to the cashier, she threw a tantrum and ripped up my ticket. When I told her I still wanted to pay for my ticket she refused. I had to ask to speak to the manager who said their menus do not have the correct price but because of the tarriffs and a hand written sign that says “breakfast prices may be different” (I didn’t eat breakfast) that I should know everything is higher. He then said something about contracts and I explained that the contract between him and I was the menu prices, but my issue now was that the cashier would not let me pay my bill and I ate the food and wanted to pay for it. He didn’t apologize and instead questioned how long I have been in the US.(wow) then when I told him, he then said he would work on the menu prices. Then allowed me to pay for my bill (with the incorrect prices.) Very disappointed in this owner- he wasn’t loud or rude, but sounds like he takes advantage of people and uses intimidating tactics (like everyone is illegal.) Will never eat there again, I cannot support someone who scams people then tries to intimidate them.

This humble, hole-in-the-wall serves delicious and very authentic Salvadorean food. The breakfast staple of sweet plantain, avocado, refried beans, and cheese, with han n' eggs prepared perfectly as requested, was amazing. I also tried the most typical dish, a pupusa revuelta. It's a style of tortilla stuffed with refried beans, cheese, and pork rind, to be eaten with slaw and tomato sauce on top. It is delicate and delicious. They also have other varieties of Pupusa. I can't wait to return for lunch. If you're near Nashville and want to take a break from all the chain restaurants, I suggest taking the drive to El Pulgarsito in a heartbeat!

Taught Pre-Licensing I today and stopped in at El Pulgarcito Authentic Salvadorian Cuisine for an early supper. Katrina and I had Desayuno Pulgarcito with over easy eggs. Robert N. Hoff had Pupusas Camaron. We also Yucca salad. 😋 😋

This was my first time having Salvadorian food. If you want to try a little of everything, get the combo #1 and a single papusa. Their homemade tortillas are corn and are like masa and a bit thick. Really good. Not a typical corn tortilla. Their enchiladas are like a chalupa, but 100% better. My favorite part of the meal. The service was super helpful, taking time to answer all my questions. Really great experience!

The food is very tasty and I visited this place on more than one occasion because of the taste of the pupusas since they have an excellent El Salvador style flavor!!! The only detail is that now the fresh waters are not natural and it would be an excellent option!!! Instead of just being artificial concentrates, what would be natural waters and cashew water, which is very El Salvador style, would be great!!! And the horchata but natural, because if they sell water but all artificial :-( yes they will increase .50 cents or even 1 dollar but if the water was natural it would be perfect!!! Inviting the tradition of traditional waters with fresh and seasonal fruit in artificial place!!!! It would be excellent to taste with some freshly made pupusas!!! Or a chicken broth!!! Or some corn bread or some slices of banana!!!!
