Project donuts is a great little shop! I would put these donuts up against most shops we visit and we don't pass up many donut opportunities. The old fashioned donuts are moist with a great crisp edge. The double chocolate devil's food cake donut was slightly dry but I've also had the glazed devil's food cake donut and it was 10/10. The cinnamon twist is also a great donut. We'll be visiting plenty while we're in the area.
I had heard this place had the best donuts but personally I didn't love them. Maybe I got an off batch or something? To my wife and I they had a taste of grease. I know that's how they are cooked, but they just had a funny grease taste, so they weren't really to our liking.
The donuts were great, but the breakfast sandwich I ordered was a joke. Sausage egg and cheese croissant, expected a sandwich like you get at a fast food place, instead got a cold sausage link baked into a croissant, which would have been fine, but it was ice cold like it came straight out of the refrigerator.
