Stopped in almost at closing time the night of the Basketball Benefit dinner. They didn't have much left, but were willing to serve us. We opted to get plates and take them back to our hotel so they could get cleaned up with us in the way. They made us some to-go brisket plates and some amazing sweet tea. Everyone was so friendly and nice. The atmosphere is awesome. The food was fantastic. Personally I enjoy fat on my brisket, but I know not everyone does so keep that in mind if getting the brisket. The house sauce is yummy. And I wanted a jar of their pickles. Want to go back to experience the full restaurant experience. Definitely will be back.

Stopped in on our way from Chattanooga to Nashville and had an 'all you can eat' dinner on our plates. Husband had the half rack of baby back ribs and I had the jumbo pulled pork sandwich. Both were very tender with delicious smokey flavor. Casual atmosphere and excellent service.

The Turkey Supreme Sandwich is crazy good delicious!!! Nicely grilled bread with house smoked sliced turkey breast with 1000 island sauce, coleslaw and cheese. I was planning to take it to go, but when I opened the box.. it fell into my mouth and down the hatch. 100% worth it!!! One of the most memorable sandwiches in a while. I had the brisket sandwich too?

Had the lunch selection from the pre-cooked buffet. Sort of like a meat and three place with bbq and catfish. Had the pulled pork, greens and green beans. Pork was not to die for. The chicken and fried catfish looked better. Several sides to choose from but I elected to stay low on the carbs. Great service and great price (under $12). Will go back and try the chicken and fish.

First and last time going! Got the pulled pork plate and smoked turkey plate. The meat was cold, when we said something we were told they are remaking the plates. They tried to just warm the meat witch they failed and while waiting for the meat to be warmed everything else on the plate got cold!

Never in my life have I had ribs served refrigerator cold until I ate here. Food is bland and several days old. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for good BBQ. potato salad from a cartoon I presume. Pulled pork was mush.

Stopped by on my lunch break after driving 7.5hrs. I had never been to Prater's or heard of it from any other trucker. I truly believe I found a gem! My waitress, Monica was so welcoming & attentive. She helped me order since I don't eat pork products. I got the fried catfish & 1/2lb brisket. The order took a little longer than expected so I had to take it to go but let me tell you it was well worth the wait. If I had the time I would have eaten there but I didn't want to get stuck in traffic. The brisket was so soft & flavorful. The catfish was fried to perfection with the batter well-seasoned. All things aside, if the food had not been up to par I would still give this restaurant a high rating because Monica was so comforting & caring. Thank you, Prater's! I will definitely try to come back if I'm in the area.

Had a great experience . The people were so nice and the owner was a really cool guy .
Excellent food. The waitress was very patient with my elderly grandparents. I didnt catch her name but she had long dark hair ,gold earrings, and was younger. I was very thankful for her patients.

Great food. They have a wide variety of food. Pulled pork to spaghetti. You definitely get your money's worth. I order a BBQ sandwich and the lady piled the meat on. Will not leave hungry at this place. Only downside is the pasta was old. Had oven burns on it as if it was warmed up. Other than that, awesome place.
Vegetarian options: They have a big salad bar
Parking: Small lot next to a semi salvage yard
