We were on a road trip. Two years ago (pre-covid) we ate here and had excellent food and service. We planned this trip looking forward to a repeat performance. Wow, what a disappointment. I ordered carnitas. Many folks consider that dish to be a great meal to order to judge how authentic a Mexican restaurant is. I ordered it because it is one of my favorites. Sadly, the meat was almost tasteless and VERY dry. On top of that, the tortillas were like the cheapest once you could buy at a low end grocery store. My wife's meal was ok, not anything special. Strike three was the service. Our waitress disappeared for 10--15 minutes at a time. We had to ask other wait staff to find her. That included trying to pay the bill. I realize covid has destroyed many restaurants across the country, but this one has really fallen badly. I hope they get it together soon, because the next night we went to one of their competitors and had great meals. Da Kupuna

My sweetheart and I had left Murfreesboro about noon for a short road trip. My intention was to show him the beautiful campus of Sewannee, the University of the South. We drove through the center of the campus and back, then took one side road after another, where I unfortunately backed the car into a ditch. After being rescued by the AAA tow service driver, we were tired and hungry and headed for home. We got off I-24 at exit 110 and didn’t see the restaurant we wanted but I used the Las Fajitas parking lot to get off the road and regroup. My comment that Fate probably wanted us to have Mexican food was graciously accepted so in we went. I had a chicken chimichanga and my sweetie got shrimp in garlic sauce. Both came with refried beans and rice with a bit of salad topped with pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole. Every bite of mine was delicious, especially since my chimi had white cheese sauce drizzled over its crispy goodness. The chimi was packed with lots of moist tender chicken. I piled a little of everything on each forkful and felt I had been richly served. From the way the plate looked my partner enjoyed his dinner equally well. I barely refrained from trying his shrimp; I already had more than enough on my plate so I let him enjoy every bite of his own dinner. I am thankful that this place is only about 30 miles from my home because I definitely want to return. The food and the service were both excellent. The only reason Las Fajitas didn’t get a 5th star from me is because when we first came in there were 3 people waiting to pay their bill and it took over 10 minutes for anyone to come take their payment and then seat us. I expect that will not be an issue the next time we visit. But even if it does, now I know it will be worth the wait!

We were looking for a place to eat that had outdoor dining. This place offered a deck on the shaded side - mostly for smokers, but we had it to ourselves at 12:40pm on a Wednesday. There were not many patrons and we had to stand inside for 2-3 minutes before being hosted and seated on the (entry only from inside) deck. No servers wore masks, unfortunately. The regular menu was extensive and somewhat expensive, but we found the Lunch menu and got a taco salad (under $7) mixed fajitas (under $9). Beer (Yuengling) was $3 for TWO and quite tasting and cold. The chips and salsa were very good, as were our meals. There was no salt/pepper on the table and surprisingly we probably would have used a little salt. The portions were large and service was great. We will probably eat here the next time we are in the area!

I stopped to get gas and spotted this place. Lots of cars outside and I love Mexican. Smart move on my part. The food was excellent. I'd come back here without hesitation. Very large place with easy social distance. Huge menu with tons of choices. Food was fresh made not some frozen microwave garbage. Worth the visit.

I gave my order to the waitress and said that I wanted no enchilada sauce on it, only the white cheese. She then turned to my husband for his order, he told her, and she said "no, your wife said enchilada"?? We couldn't figure out what she was talking about so I said okay, we're just going to start over. I did and she said that she understands now, so I then made sure she understood that I wanted no enchilada sauce, only white cheese. She said yes, that we had just confused her. No, she confused herself. Well, we get our meals and there it is, covered in enchilada sauce. My husband told me to say something but I thought why, so she can confuse herself further?? No thanks.
