First off. Our waitress brought drinks to wrong table, once that was handled the guy had drank out of my husbands tea, the waitress asked sir do you want a different glass. Of course you idiot. Then she left us sitting for about 15 minutes before finally returning and taking the order. Then the fish was the size of a small chicken tender. My chicken salad came with two small chicken tenders which I had to cut up to go with the head of lettuce. The salad dressing was in carry out containers which were sitting in my salad. Never have I had dressing handled like that before very worried if contaminants were in the salad. Health department needs to make a visit to see how food is handled. Total rip off. I complained about it. The waitress gave a 10 percent discount which the head guy was angry about and said this will never happen again ( giving a discount for poor food and service). Will not go back and no referral.

Drove for an hour and half from Memphis to take my sister in law here for her birthday. This has been a favorite spot of mine for many years having first experienced it in Anniston, AL. The service was the only familiar reminder of my spot this trip. The food was served cold and the portions were greatly reduced. I totally get that costs have sky rocketed for everything everywhere. However, I would prefer to pay more than to receive less for the same cost and cold. I was very disappointed to have driven so far to find my first love had changed. I did not share my thoughts with management before leaving. Hopefully, this will help them to return to their usual state of glory.

We always enjoy Top O' The River!! Best catfish in the area. Kids got fried chicken, huge pieces, and delicious!! Soon got Fried Shrimp - very tasty! Love the cornbread and slaw, just all around great food!!
