Good prices and great fried okra!
Good food give them a try
Had a great burger at Buck's Place yesterday. It was a total delight. I got to meet one of the owners, while waiting for my group of friends to arrive. The whole staff, were totally delightful. The food delicious. The atmosphere and great. This place is a hidden gem. I'm looking forward to returning.
We had driven by this place for a week or more but they were always closed cause it would be later in the day but we finally we able to catch them when they were open. It was just before dinner and we were the only ones in there. We got our food to go cause we had to get back to the job and they got our food ready quick and it was good. Will definitely stop here again.
Great food and staff.
I discovered this gem while biking in the Shelby Forest area. A cool and comfortable setting to take a break. Rick provided excellent service and the food... Delicious! They say a picture is worth a thousand words—just look at that bacon omelet.
Very good food (breakfast), fast service, and very reasonable prices! Nice looking inside, too. Will definitely come back again!
We have a family of 7 and were able to eat without breaking the bank.
Great Food, Great service!
Heading out to Shelby Forest from Millington? There is a good chance you might drive right by the place as it is on the east side when you are heading south. Years ago this building was a country store with a couple of gas pumps. In 2022, the gas pumps remain, unused for 30 years, counting the traffic as it rolls by.The new owners have kept the simple charm when redoing the interior. The posted pictures of the building don't do it justice. My friend and I arrived about 1300 and most of the lunch crowd has already left. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. The menu is simple. Yes this is a county diner and there is nothing fancy. Think hamburgers, Philly Cheese Steak and Grilled chicken Sandwiches, Chicken or Shrimp baskets, and a few other easy to fix items so think salads. My lunch fried settle for a BLT and she gave it 4 stars for good bacon. I got a side salad and hamburger - the world famous Buck Burger. Which is a hand made hamburger. Yes, it is worth the price. Hey Cook, well done thanks. Both sandwiches came with something called "House chips". House Chips are homemade god level potato chips with a slight dusting of something and I think it was Cajun seasoning. I'd travel back there just for an order of the god chips and their coffee. Yes folks, the coffee is worth 4 stars alone. For 4 stars, it needed to be fresh - and had been sitting a little bit and it wasn't yet bitter and still very drinkable. The color needed to be dark- yes it was. Flavor - yes, it had some body to it. Next time I go back, I'll ask the waitress to please make a fresh pot. Thanks folks, we enjoyed our visit. We found out that they stop serving breakfast at 1100. However, from what I saw at lunch, I suspect that the cook will make an honest breakfast. Also they are open late Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nites and serve dinners - meatloaf, Pork Chops, and other dishes. Its a diner out side of town. Don't expect a Huey's style menu. The staff were very competent and the cooking, with a limited menu, was both good quality and a good value for the price. Thanks Folks.

Great burgers and homemade chips!
Breakfast was great. Portions were big and staff was attentive and friendly. What more could you ask for. A great little country restaurant.
Last Saturday was our first time eating at Buck’s Place. The Breakfast Food was absolutely delicious. It was a good place for my husband and I to go get Some Good Food and Relax. Everyone working there was so friendly. Definitely will be going back.
Loved it.
Our waitress was so patient, and the food is Ahh-mazing!! I set out looking for a hole in the wall to take my daughter and former boss to lunch and ended up finding a diamond in the rough! Highly, HIGHLY recommend!
