After service on Sunday, my best friend and I kept our tradition alive—hunting for a new spot to satisfy our post-worship cravings. This time, we chose Jackie Mae’s, opening right at noon as listed on Google. And let me tell you—it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, our server, Dyneshia, made the experience unforgettable. Her warmth, knowledge of the menu, and thoughtful recommendations made us feel right at home. I ordered the fried fish, green beans, mac and cheese, purple hull peas (a standout favorite on my plate), and butter cookies. Every bite was seasoned with love. Even my leftover fried fish held its crispiness after a quick reheat in the microwave—a rare and delicious surprise. To top it off, the VIP (tea + lemonade) was perfectly balanced—not too sweet, not too tart. Just right. As we were leaving, Miss Jackie herself came out and greeted us. That personal touch sealed the deal—southern hospitality at its finest. We’re even considering coming back for open mic night on Thursdays. Needless to say, we’ll be back very soon. Jackie Mae’s is more than food—it’s a feeling.

My best friend and I tried this restaurant today after church, and we are so glad we did. From start to finish, the hospitality was unmatched. Dyneshia was our server, and she took excellent care of us; her service alone would make me come back. I ordered the catfish fillets, purple hull peas, mac and cheese, and hot water cornbread. Everything was delicious, and I was not disappointed. I had read a few reviews mentioning issues with opening times, but they opened right at 12:00 PM as listed on Google, so if you’ve had trouble catching them open before, I’d recommend trying again. To top it all off, the owner came by and personally introduced herself. She was so warm and welcoming, and we’ll definitely be back soon.

My wife and I saw Jackie Mae’s Southern Cooking on our way into town and knew by the amount of cars that we would be eating there. We received a warm welcome walking into the door and were seating quickly. The menu is on a white board set near our table. My wife had the pork chop, green beans and mashed potatoes. She didn’t lick the plate clean but cleaned it all up with the cornbread. I had chicken w/dressing, green beans and coleslaw and loved every mouth full. My plate wasn’t as clean as my wife’s but that’s because I’d also ordered coconut cake. We’re only in town for a few days but I’m sure we’ll be back.

The operating hours and the time on Google were totally different and when I pulled up, they were closed unfortunately I was really looking forward to it. Maybe next time.

Couldn’t even try the food because they’re always closed. Came one day, they were closed, which is fine. Came again on a day their hours claim they’re open 24 hours and they were still closed.
Everything thing was great! Everything was seasoned. 10/10
